My wife and I were exploring Hiroshima and stumbled upon this gem. Neither my wife or I speak very much Japanese at all but it was a very enjoyable experience anyway. First hour or so is an actual show, we got the gist of the show but not much of the humor. Then came intermission and they sold DVD's, tickets...

I don't understand any Japanese but still really enjoyed it! Good indoor sit down activity after running around Japan for a week in the rain. $18 well spent. 10 minute walk from the train station.
No reservations, just show up before the show, they start selling 30 minutes before.
Dancing and singing need no translation. I admit I was lost...

This local theater is south of Hiroshima Station and across the river. Best to take a cab and bring a note from the hotel concierge if you don't speak Japanese! The entire 3 hour show is in Japanese, no reservations and has intermission and the total cost of $18.00. The theater is upstairs, so don't be put off by the...
