Sapporo Clock Tower is a small building more than I thought. When seeing for the first time, I have been disappointed like the time when the Chinese Theater in Los Angeles was seen. But it's a building which matches the landscape of Sapporo, so it would be good to take a ceremonial picture.

This clock is so nice and good to visit. We went there during the snow festival and very close to our hotel. We love it lots.

As one of the landmarks of Sapporo, it's a must-see sight, but nothing really spectacular. A short drop-off by taxi is sufficient.

The Clock Tower is 5 minutes walk from the Hokkaido Government Building. It used to be the Drill Hall of former Agricultural College. There are some photos and history info about the Clock Tower. The original old clock is on the second floor, still ticking as expected. It's a quick 30 mins visit.

Quaint building, I was told the clock has been accurate since it first got installed. An interesting contrast to the JR Tower.

Since it is the landmark of Sapporo, I and my friend decided to take a walk from the Odori Park to search for the Clock Tower. We were at the Clock Tower on 31st December 2014 at about 8pm. The Tower is magnificent and maintained well despite being an old building. However, if you were to take a photograph of... More

After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, I decided I'll go to the clock tower and take a picture on the outside. There was a nice horse carriage waiting outside the tower. But that's about it.

Located near the Odori subway station, this clock tower has been keeping time for the city since the early/mid 1900s'. You can ride the elevator up to its observatory deck. Entrance fees are ¥720 for adult, ¥300 for elementary school kids, and ¥100 for 3-5 year-olds. Comes with ¥50 discount vouchers for purchases at their souvenir shops (min spend ¥200).... More

If you don't speak or read Japanese you'll want to ask for an interpreter. They have stories not shown in the short translations provided (in some places) inside the tower. I enjoyed what our interpreter had to say. The gift shop is unimpressive.
