Visited during the Sapporo Snow Festival. Some of the ice sculptures were huge and beautiful. The best time to visit, I reckon, would be in the evening after dark. Most large sculptures have some sort of light and sound display - some really amazing. The huge sculptures are also used as a stage and backdrop for performances. The park was... More

When we visited the snow festival, it was raining. This was the third night of the festival. Many of the sculptures had collapsed, and most of them had partially melted. The park was super crowded, wall-to-wall with people along the entire length of the park. Maybe this year was an off year, but I was surprised how warm the weather... More

We went for the Yuki matsuri (snow festival) it was really nice! Crowded but you can walk and take nice pictures! Also there are lots of food and activities to enjoy! Take a look on day light and at night! Two different experiences in the same place. The Odori park covers 11 blocks but you can walk all in around... More

It is a big park compares to other parks in Japan. And it's a good place to just relax and walk but there are not much to see.

It's the place to be to see the ice festival and snow sculptures and try all the tasty and fresh Japanese food and walk it off at the same time.

In addition to the many huge wonderful snow sculptures, the festival offers a wide range of international foods and music performances.

Best time ever at the snow festival. The sculptures what can you say, are so detailed. The food fantastic with grilled seafood and ramen. Wasting the corn on the Cobb in such cold weather is the best enjoyable experience

We visited on the last day of the annual snow festival. Overall it is really well done. Opened at 10 am with blocked off streets and plenty of security to help with traffic. The festival is about half snow sculptures (some gigantic like Star Wars or temples and others more human-sized for competition) and half food & drink. It included... More

The park was very beautiful. Many ice/snow sculptures. The city had a great security and traffic plan. There was live entertainment and many different types of food available.
