Nice to stroll around and take some photos. Coming from Singapore, where smokers walk and smoke at the same time (like choo-choo trains), i'm pleasantly surprised they have smoking cabins for smokers in the park.

Seems like this place would be great during the holidays but they pull down most of the lights after Christmas. We showed up right after Christmas and there was absolutely nothing to see. I gave it a 3/5 rating since the park is nice loop around the town but nothing special.

The park was beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and the underground shopping area allowed shoppers to stay away from the cold. One pharmacy there could offer immediate tax refund but the queues were very long.

We went in December and it was snowed in. The walkways were slippery and not really walkable. Everything was white. The highlight when we were there was the Christmas Market but otherwise, it's just a narrow (about 50 metre wide) 3.5km strip of land in the middle of Sapporo. Would have been nicer during the snow festival in February I... More

It's extra pretty with snow and the lights. However it was much too cold to enjoy a leisurely stroll. The Christmas market made it very festive. We went at a little past 11am and the stalls were just opening. If you're going in winter, dress warmly.

We were there to see the white illumination and the Munich Christmas market. The whole thing can be done in about 2 hours. The light up was pretty with lots of photo opportunities. The Munich Christmas market was quaint. Many trinkets to buy. You can find sausages, churros and hot chocolate a plenty. Definitely worth a visit.

Not much happening there except the Munich festival. If you really want to catch a sight of the Christmas lighting, one way of doing this is to have afternoon tea at the 2nd floor of the TV Tower after 3pm. It's getting dark early in Sapporo and the christmas tree lights up at exactly 4:30pm. You do not need to... More

It is an elongated park. Currently, with its Xmas light illumination at the end nearer to the Clock Tower, it is a pretty sight to behold. There is also a Xmas festive market selling German, Russian, etc. festive goodies and food. Nice festive atmosphere.
