I visited Odori Park when the sun was getting set. Therefore I could see the lights with diversified colors and it was very nice. I could also enjoy several foods from several countries as an event was held that time. The Odori Park was small than I expected.

Many people from around the world come and take part in the annual event. some are very big. you will need at least a day to walk around the park. There are also lots of fresh seafood and food with hot beverages too.

Sweet corns are sold in Odori Park. We enjoyed walking from Sapporo TV tower to 6-chome street. The best street you can enjoy is between 4 to 6 streets. Be aware of funny Japanese who try to talk to you if you sit down on the bench. Just ignore and leave the bench. Recommend to not be alone.

We visited Odori Park in February and June this year. There was a vast contrast between the atmosphere and the existing scenes during two different seasons. Winter time the park full of Ice carving exhibition and many food stalls making it a carnival atmosphere with plenty of visitors. In Summer the Park is actually just an empty space with some... Overall, nothing really special about the park except that it is in the middle of the roads. You can just walk around the park for a while if you really want to.

It is nice enough, but in the summer, there is nothing too spectacular, not compared to winter. There are some nice food stalls, but be careful of the birds. I observed a large crow swooping down under the awning to land in a woman's lunch and make off with her hot dog. The birds have no fear.

I was there last Autumn and the park was decorated with stalls selling all sorts of Hokkaido produce and food, for the October festival. When I revisited the park this week, although no festive buzz, it's a really nice place for leisure walks.

the area is absolutely MUST SEE during the Sapporo Snow Festival. one of the bucket list items that is fun and easy to do over the weekend if you also want to head out to go skiing. great food nearby and of course the street vendors are always a good choice
