I really enjoyed taking a whole morning to walk the length of the park. There are many gardens and playgrounds. Toward the "tower end" there is an underground mall (Aurora Town) which kind of made the experience even more fun.

I was there in May and it was gorgeous... At day and at night... The flowers, the grass, everything is beautiful.

We were drawn to the park by the sounds of a violin above the din of the street across the road. Then we completely forgot about visiting the Clock Tower and spent the next 30 mins just listening to the violinist, Wataru Saito performing various songs, mainly pop culture songs. It was a joy to listen to. There were also... More

Great spot for photo taking...especially during winter, with the snow-covered ground, laced with trees with "cherry-like"* fruits along the road side. *(not really cherry, looks like cherry only)

Travelled there on late March. The coolest time season is over and there were no more ice sculptures. Only thing left is dirty ice shovelled to the side of the walkway pavement. Could be a nice view during winter season. Only evident structure is a modern tower right in front of the park.

Yuki Matsuri, otherwise known as the Snow Festival. Had heard of this Festival for a few years before making my way to Japan for the first time in 2004. I've been to various locations over the years, but this event has certainly been a stand-out visit. HUGE dioramas carved from thousands of tons of snow apiece. Quite, quite remarkable how... More

Smack in the middle of the city is this great relaxing park. There this week and witnessed the start of Sakura and tulip flowers blooming. Many benches to sit around and even on grass too.

Great gardens, I travelled during April, so grass had not yet grown back from the winter / snow coverage.

Sapporo can be pretty bleak in winter, and Odori Park is no exception. Even in late April or early May, when the rest of Japan is green, the trees will be bare and the skies grey. Odori Park is at its best in the summer, when flowers are in bloom and various events are held, but even then it's still... More
