After a sightseeing or shopping excursions, I'd highly recommend to take a stroll along the Odori park if you have time. Not only the garden and flowers are lovely, but here you see a lot of locals with families and friends. When I was there, there were beer gardens along the park, which were crowded even when it was raining!... More

I went during the Snow Festival to view the snow sculptures. It's impressive but I feel the giant sculptures were over-commercialised. They have been put up by corporate sponsors. It's a very long park and it will take at least 3 hours of walking to view all the displays. For those who don't know the Hokkaido winter well, it will... More

Summer is pretty hot and muggy but not to worry – Odori Park has many places to get cold beer – besides the regular beer garden under the tower, there have lots of beer festivals held there. There was a jazz festival held but a lot of the sessions were sold out. The park has very nice flowery gardens and... More

On selected summer nights the park hosts a great beer festival. It's tremendous fun & a great opportunity to watch Japanese locals & tourists letting their hair down, even if it does finish at 9pm! Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed taking a whole morning to walk the length of the park. There are many gardens and playgrounds. Toward the "tower end" there is an underground mall (Aurora Town) which kind of made the experience even more fun.

I was there in May and it was gorgeous... At day and at night... The flowers, the grass, everything is beautiful.

We were drawn to the park by the sounds of a violin above the din of the street across the road. Then we completely forgot about visiting the Clock Tower and spent the next 30 mins just listening to the violinist, Wataru Saito performing various songs, mainly pop culture songs. It was a joy to listen to. There were also... More

Great spot for photo taking...especially during winter, with the snow-covered ground, laced with trees with "cherry-like"* fruits along the road side. *(not really cherry, looks like cherry only)

Travelled there on late March. The coolest time season is over and there were no more ice sculptures. Only thing left is dirty ice shovelled to the side of the walkway pavement. Could be a nice view during winter season. Only evident structure is a modern tower right in front of the park.
