With no particular plans, we spent a good hour wandering the University grounds. Well maintained with the occasional sign including English to give a sense of the history of the campus. Relaxing sitting on the benches near the water and watching the student bicycle convoy between lectures. All of this just 10 - 12 minutes walk from Sapporo Station.

As other reviewers have indicated, the campus is very close to Sapporo Station. If you have an hour or so to spare before your train leaves, why not go and check it out? The campus does bring some respite from the grey concrete that makes up most of the city. There isn't a great deal to do here as a... More

Although it was my second time of visiting Hokkaido University, still I think it's a really beautiful one. It looked different in summer. The green lawn, people jogging on the campus, small but beautiful lotus pond...well, if I had the chance, I would like to be one of them, studying or working there.

Spacious, but still manageable. Filled with greenery that one would not expect in the middle of the city.

We spent about an hour in the museum which a decent dinosaur exhibition and about an hour hanging out by the pond taking photos and walking about enjoying the scene. I hear it is very nice in the fall

The campus in this university is wide. There is size for 3 at the subway station. This campus is abundant in nature. You can have cheap meals for students here, so it's convenient.

This university has a small walking path along the woods and small pond. A simple pleasure in live but of course you need to do it at the right weather.

We wandered onto the grounds of the university during the food festival in late May and loved the ambiance. In some ways not very Japanese...the campus is spacious and the students quite cosmopolitan. We loved it.

Since the first time I went here in 2005, until the fifth time in 2014, there's always new experience. Ginko trees is a must to see in autumn, Hokudai museum is a must to visit for the first timer. And dont hesitate to eat in their student canteen. I always ate there (specially the south canteen next to Faculty of... More
