We wandered onto the grounds of the university during the food festival in late May and loved the ambiance. In some ways not very Japanese...the campus is spacious and the students quite cosmopolitan. We loved it.

Since the first time I went here in 2005, until the fifth time in 2014, there's always new experience. Ginko trees is a must to see in autumn, Hokudai museum is a must to visit for the first timer. And dont hesitate to eat in their student canteen. I always ate there (specially the south canteen next to Faculty of... More

Visit museum inside the campus. You will see and read the history of Hokkaido not only about university. Nice walking just to go through the campus. Pass the soveniour shop, you may find good stuff there. They have a small bakery and the price is reasonable.

It is a nice place to have the morning stroll and there are people jogging around as well. You get to admire the greens and history of the place and buildings.

Beautiful campus surrounded by trees. Interesting history. It is a good walk just to go thru the campus.

Walked around here for 1-2 hours. Buildings lack character but grounds are nice. A bike ride wouldn't. be a bad idea at all given the size of the campus

The lines of trees in the center was blooming so beautifully! The water pound in the center with all the birds was funny to watch. We also eat in the campus restaurant, good food!! After dinner we was taken to the museum of the school, a lot to see! I was there in may 2009!

This campus is so well-maintained, impressive and beautiful that at certain stretches we feel like strolling in a garden, not a campus. The architecture of buildings hosting different faculties gives each an unique identity. Watching students cycling and shuttling in the campus make one feels youthful. We also visited a sundry shop in the campus and grab some drip-coffee packs.
