In comparison to the campuses we experience in America, this is not anything special. If you just want to walk around, it's fine. For a university campus, I was underwhelmed and disappointed. Not very colorful or unique.

If you are near the Sapporo center and would like to calm your nerves, be sure to check this Campus. Lots of green palces to sit down or even have a picnic in the southern part.

It was close to Sapporo Aspen HOtel which we stayed so we took a walk inside and it was really nice. The souvenie store was open and it sells various interesting items, including cookies and ties and other small models.

Try to walk this at night, and truly enjoyed the old school campus vibe. Sapporo has it all, a big campus in the middle of town, seafood market, a mountain for sky nearby and fabulous food all around!

One of the larger campuses in Japan, the grounds are popular among Asian tourists. Domestic tourists come for the small bust of Joseph Clark, the first president of the college and a symbol of Japan's late 19th century modernization. Cherry blossoms draw picnickers in late April and early May. Colorful foliage lures tree-peepers in autumn, particularly the avenue of ginkoes... More

very nice exhibits, some science-related others more historical. Campus feels like an american university campus. Much of it accessible in English.

We visited Hokkaido Univ as a Collegiate volleyball team and were very impressed with our warm greeting, in depth tours, clean campus and level of respect shared amongst the locals. Would love to go back!

The campus has no real charming or redeeming qualities. It is just a group of tired uninteresting buildings that are not pleasing to the eyes. The campus does contain a fair number of trees, but too many have been pruned excessively.

I think Hokkaido University has an extremely beautiful campus, a great place for a stroll, a walk or a jog. Other than that, it is just a university and not a tourist attraction, which is the reason for me giving it 2 out of 5. I wouldnt recommend it as a tourist attraction, but if you are nearby and fancy... More

Since it is so nearby to Sapporo Station, waling by to have a stroll is not to be missed. Beautiful campus with matured trees. Serene.
