With 500 Yen you can take a ride straight up to the top and see the view of the whole Sapporo. It's really majestic, There is a 550-meter climb up the hill and it took us (fairly unfit couple) about 20 minutes to reach the stadium. However you can do it in much lesser time if you are fit. Once... More

It's already well-known that Sapporo was the site of the 1972 Winter Olympics and this jump site is the only remnant of that event that exists today. However it is still used for competitions. For a minimal fee you can ride on a chair lift to the top of the slope to appreciate what ski jumpers see as well as... More

Great view from the top. A long escalator up to the main building. The grand ski slope, cafe and souvenir all these places is free. The ski lift and ski experience is 500 each. Ok place to spend a 30 mins or an hour here.

To get here, I took subway from Sapporo to Maruyamakoen station, 250yen. Then walked up to the base of the station. The walk was through the park, past the zoo and baseball stadium. Google maps is spot on! The chair lift was 500 yen and combined with the museum was 1000 yen so I did both. The chair lift was... More

We visited this attraction via a local tour bus, On a sunny day, the view at the top of the jump hill is stunning. We went up the hill by cable car and it was great to enjoy the view while going up.

Great views of the city. Reasonably priced. Delicious ice cream at the top. You can also do the Winter Sports Museum during the same visit. Highly recommend.

We came to Sapporo for Cherry Blossom and decided to take a bus tour to see the important sites. The Mt Okura ski lift was great, the views across the town are amazing. Nice cafe at the site too.

If you are in the area, this is a great way to spend a few hours checking-out. There is a museum, cafe/restaurant and, the highlite, a chairlift to the top of the ski-jump. While at the top, spend time taking-in the panoramic views of Sapporo City.

When in Sapporo, this place is a must visit. It is easily accessible by public transport and you get great view of Sapporo. It is an all season sightseeing spot minus when it is raining. For more information and other sightseeing spots in Sapporo check supersillytraveller.com
