Great views of the snow and Sapporo, as we had a lovely clear day, and the chairlift was good fun. Great to pair with the sports museum.

Loved the outlook From the snow covered hills to the views back to the city. There were a lot of people that were there looking at the views and all very bubbling with excitement.

To get there, take orange subway line to Maruyama Keon station, then Number 14 bus (about 10 minutes) and 10 minutes on foot uphill. We went on the day when a national ski jump championship was held. We are not allowed to take the gondola up to the Observatory so it was disappointing. Suggest to call first before you make... More

I joined the local tour and went for the above which included a Genghis Khan BBQ dinner. All in all, I have had 3 such dinners while in Sapporo and I personally feel that this is the best.

It was hard for us to get to this place given that we travelled on our own to this place and Google said there is no public transport to this place, which isn't true. To get here, the Toho line to Maruyumakoen, then take bus number 14 (only run every 30mins) to Mt Okura. From there walk up the hill... More

This Olympic ski jump venue is very near to Sapporo and the view from the observatory was great. The ropeway ride was priced reasonably.

Went up in autumn to see thi olympic ski slope, snow hasn't formed yet. Great view of Sapporo on a clear sunny day! The ski lift up was nice and fun and the melon vanilla soft serve on the top observatory was a pleasant combination of view and taste. Ski lift was for 500 yen for return per adult Combine... More

My family and I went to Mt Okura Observatory around 5pm when the sun was setting. We stayed on till night fall and was amazed at the scenic view below us with lighted Hokkaido in front of us. A must visit place.
