Great view of City of Sapporo

I only went day time and had a great view of the city of Sapporo. The ski museum was also very good. Very well worth the visit.

Not spectacular, I consider a waste of time . The view of the city is disappointing, not much facilities there.

It's not as high as I thought it would be. Very windy so bring along a windbreaker or maybe warmer clothing if you are scared of cold. Night view wasn't fantastic maybe because I had to leave early (about 7pm+ when the sun has set not too long ago) for dinner.

I visited in the summer months so the observatory had just a few Japanese tourists and was pretty quiet. It takes some coordination to access the observatory by public transportation-we took the subway then hopped on a bus that dropped us off about 10 minutes away walking. On the way back, we took a taxi to the subway station as... More

Funny place for crane, take the bus and walk about 15-20 min to higher level but ok. and the crane is good experience to feel the excitement of skiing. Not a main attraction area. but if you have time to spend, is for fun!

I went to this location in Feb 14, I went in the evening just as the sun was setting and the ski jump was flood lite. everything was covered in a thick blanket of snow and looked very spectacular, to get to the top you take a chair lift up and back, at the top you get a magnificent view... More

Quiet hilltop area with good view of sapporo city. Ski slope and length on site looks much longer and scarier than watching the ski jumps on TV.

Just a short drive from Sapporo city center is the Mt Okura Observatory and Sapporo Winter Sports Museum. The fee for the chair lift to the observatory at the top of Mt Okura is 500 yen, the entrance fee for the museum is another 500 yen. Both well worth it in my opinion. The chair lift ride up is relaxing... More

Really a beautiful place to visit. Spectacular view over the city of Sapporo, great Olympic museum and nice park around the whole facility. If you have a car, it is not far at all from the city center.

I lived in Sapporo for 1 year. This sight is good to see if you have the time to get there. Personally, I think there are more worthwhile places to go if you are going to spend 1/2 a day. It is a ski jump. See the bottom...see the top...ride the lift. You can see better vantage points of the... More
