Funny place for crane, take the bus and walk about 15-20 min to higher level but ok. and the crane is good experience to feel the excitement of skiing. Not a main attraction area. but if you have time to spend, is for fun!

I went to this location in Feb 14, I went in the evening just as the sun was setting and the ski jump was flood lite. everything was covered in a thick blanket of snow and looked very spectacular, to get to the top you take a chair lift up and back, at the top you get a magnificent view... More

Quiet hilltop area with good view of sapporo city. Ski slope and length on site looks much longer and scarier than watching the ski jumps on TV.

Just a short drive from Sapporo city center is the Mt Okura Observatory and Sapporo Winter Sports Museum. The fee for the chair lift to the observatory at the top of Mt Okura is 500 yen, the entrance fee for the museum is another 500 yen. Both well worth it in my opinion. The chair lift ride up is relaxing... More

Really a beautiful place to visit. Spectacular view over the city of Sapporo, great Olympic museum and nice park around the whole facility. If you have a car, it is not far at all from the city center.

I lived in Sapporo for 1 year. This sight is good to see if you have the time to get there. Personally, I think there are more worthwhile places to go if you are going to spend 1/2 a day. It is a ski jump. See the bottom...see the top...ride the lift. You can see better vantage points of the... More

If you want a nice view this is the place to come! up the chair lift is a small fee but worth it. there was a lovely place we had lunch at above the shop like a teppanyaki, was excellent price and outstanding food!

If you ski or snow board, chances are you have never skied or snowboarded that breath taking slope, and will never in your whole life. So why not take the chairlift and experienced the 1972 Olympics that you didn't participate in :) Spend about an hour entirely, including at least 20 min up on the top to WoW. Grab a... More

took a bus tour from Sapporo station including ride in cable car. Watched skiers practicing and great views from the top. Tour overall was about 3 hours and relaxing.

Great views of the snow and Sapporo, as we had a lovely clear day, and the chairlift was good fun. Great to pair with the sports museum.
