This Olympic ski jump venue is very near to Sapporo and the view from the observatory was great. The ropeway ride was priced reasonably.

Went up in autumn to see thi olympic ski slope, snow hasn't formed yet. Great view of Sapporo on a clear sunny day! The ski lift up was nice and fun and the melon vanilla soft serve on the top observatory was a pleasant combination of view and taste. Ski lift was for 500 yen for return per adult Combine... More

My family and I went to Mt Okura Observatory around 5pm when the sun was setting. We stayed on till night fall and was amazed at the scenic view below us with lighted Hokkaido in front of us. A must visit place.

I went this place at winter, it is great out there, but toooo cold. Remember to bring warm jacket. We finally end to back inside and drink some hot chocolate.

Visited during July summer month, when the slope was green. The view of the ski slope itself was just plain beautiful ... I really enjoyed the ski lift. It was a steady, comfortable & enjoyable ride both up- & downhill. One word of caution: go with footwear that would not slip off in mid air.I was wearing slippers that day... More

The museum is fun if you're willing to take part. There's fun interactive games to play and then you can take the ski lift to the top of the jump. There is great soft cream at the top and it's a great photo opportunity. There's a gift shop and a restaurant at the bottom that I'd also recommend.

500 yens for a chair lift that will take you up where the observatory and the ski jumping hill are. Great panorama view over Sapporo. :)

We visited this place during the afternoon and the temperature was quite cooling, around 12 degree celsius. The view of the ski jump up close was really cool and I never expected it to be so steep. We also took the ski lift up and got a breathtaking view of the Sapporo city from the top. Overall a nice place... More

This is a unique opportunity to see a ski jump up close as I had never seen one other than on TV. The lift ride to the top gives you a close up view of the jump and landing areas which are surprisingly steep. The view at the top is very good but probably would be better at night. It... More
