It’s like a park with ponds full of red carps and flower beds. It's also a place to relax and to stay away from the stream of tourists. well, just a bit less. It’s quite worth visiting not only because of its admission-free but also it’s just located off the south end of the Su Beach (“Su Di”) within walking... More

Overcrowed with noisy local tourist who tried to push each other out or stand in front of you for photos. The fish are overfeed by tourists, they are so fat...

This must be one of the worst places I have been to. It is frequently so crowded with local tourists (I think they have not much other places to go to in Hangzhou, so they tend to come here because it is free) and it is frequently polluted with smog so all the temples in the background becomes blurry. The... More

Unlike the other big town in China, Hangzhou gives you very peaceful atmosphere just right in the middle of the town. Here you can spend your entire day enjoying the West Lake. Love it.

Not exceptional. You can see the stone where the emperor wrote Chinese characters. Since it's at the entrance of the Su Causeway south entrance and the boats arriving/departures just in front, it's so busy and noisy. We just enter less than 5 minutes and went out. It's free

U can take dragon boat RMB 55 and choose to get down here. Try not to go during rainy day (weekend)... though the rain can create misty lake effect.. .. not much fish to see.... clouded with plenty of group tours.. as west lake is free of charge, that is where tourist agents can earn. u can come by yr... An interesting place not just because of its scenery, but because of its many significance, 1. There is a mini Jiang Zi Ya, called Jiang Xiao Ya, grandson of the famed fisherman who doesn't use any hook on his fishing rod. He symbolises abundance of opportunity. 2. The carpe in this lake is really good at jumping. There is a... More

Park area, famous one, located pretty close of city. Well, it might take a while to get there due to heavy traffic. Dragon boats do trips to lake and also smaller boats available. Just close to this there is also local shopping "street" that is really local and original.

Many visitors feed bread but we choose to buy fish food rmb 3 at nearest stall. The garden and walking path have a nice scenery.... More
