Park area, famous one, located pretty close of city. Well, it might take a while to get there due to heavy traffic. Dragon boats do trips to lake and also smaller boats available. Just close to this there is also local shopping "street" that is really local and original.

Visit the fish pond at early spring, so crowded. My son very happy because He can feed the fish 😊 A very good enetertainment and experience especially for young children There are so many fish. Many visitors feed bread but we choose to buy fish food rmb 3 at nearest stall. The garden and walking path have a nice scenery.... More

I was not very impressed with the place especially after visiting a number of attractions in Hangzhou. It is still a good attraction. Perhaps the crowd had weigh in on my view. It is one of the several places you can get onto a boat/ferry to enjoy lake. The lotus that was to be the attraction did not stand out.... More

We started our visit to West Lake by taking in the view from the Leifing Pagoda. The Fish Garden is only a 15 minute walk away around the bottom of the lake. The entrance is off the causeway and the gardens are free. The gardens are pleasant with a number of ponds full of Koi carp. Outside the entrance there... More

OK, I lived in Japan for many years and know the Koi (Carp) quite well. It is always fun to see the beautiful colors of the fish and to watch them eat from your hands. We went on the weekend and although there were many fish, there was so many people around all trying to get the fish to eat.... More

I am an animal person, and fish too. Walking along Yanggongdi Road for half an hour, you can get to this park, no entrance fee. Recommend to families with kids, you can buy some fish food (RMB10 for 4 small bags) at the entrance and go feeding the carps at the pond. You will be awed to see how huge... More

If you do go on the Su Causeway, near the south end you will see a bridge going west to this park, in chinese 花港观鱼。 It's really beautiful and worth a stop. You will find kiosks that sell fish food for 3 yuan for a bag, and it is fun to watch the golden carp go crazy over the food.... More

The gardens and fish are lovely, but not as lovely as the Humble Administrator in Suzhou or the Pearl Pagoda in Tongli, in my opinion. Definitely worth wandering though the garden but for me the views across the lake and the blossoms and the pagoda were far more picturesque.
