It was a grand tulip festival at the park when I was there. So many people and so many flowers. The park itself is ok to check out but lack of charms compared to the West Lake not far away.

The Prince Bay Park is really something quite special--a clean, very well designed and superbly gardened part along a magnificent stretch of West Lake. I walked through the Park from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning and had a walking and nature experience as good as any I have had in Europe or Japan, and better than... More

you will be lost in a different world here during spring time. without the chatter of the large hordes of chinese tourists, you may wonder, am I in holland? am i in europe? the landscape is filled with flowers and greenery. if you like nature and parks, you would enjoy a stroll in this park which is filled with colors... Unexpected such beautiful blossoms of various kind of flower in this park. This park is quite big and you need to take at least half day to visit every part of it. You can find blossom of sakura, tulip & others....... Also, the location is very convenient & just next to West Lake. Don't miss it if you visit West... More

The place is beautiful in all seasons! Granted! MAJOR TIP!!!: As you find your way to the section of the park adjoining the hill, where there is also a waterfall I believe (runs dry mostly during summers), find a trail to climb the adjoining hill. The best views of the city can be seen from up there!! The trek is... More

We went there just around the "mid-spring" festival. The park was beautifully decorated with flowers, lots of them tulip. The whole scenery was just beautiful.

This place in Spring time is soooooo beautiful, with the tulips, little river, bridges and mountain sights. Most importantly, it's not far from downtown area at all. You can easily take a bus or taxi there. On the weekends of the tulip season, the place will be full of people though, so try to avoid that. The music festival on... More

I have visited this park only in spring time. I think the best time to head there is from late March to beginning of April, depending of warm and sunny days. Then you see all the cherry and apple trees and hundreds of thousands of tulips blossoming. This sight is unforgettable! You will not be there alone but remembering it,... More

Prince Bay Park (or Taiziwan Park) is one of the many lovely parks around the West Lake. Although beautiful in any season, the best time to visit is in March or April when thousands of tulips are blooming. (This time is also extremely popular with local visitors, so don't expect to have the park all to yourself.) Prince Bay Park... More
