We went in by chance. Beside the historical reason, the ground and guarden is very pretty. very few tourists. mostly local people.

The Golden Temple (Jin Dian) is an interesting place to visit, but not one where you can spend even half a day. In my opinion, if I am going to spend an hour each way to get to an attraction, it better hold my interest for at least an hour. This attr.action fails that test. After fifteen or twenty minutes,... Nice park to take a walk and relax, entrance free of 30 rmb. As well, check out the view on Kunming from the top of the Bell tower. To get there, end of bus line #10.

Fantastic park on the edge of a beautiful lake right in the middle of Kunming. A maze of little alleys and small bridges connecting the different island of the lake, all nicely paved and decorated with beautiful plants and flowers. The right place to see the remaining of traditional China. In several corners you can find elders playing traditional instruments,... More

Yunnan has many mountains. This place is nice for a stroll. Avoid the touristy stuff, but go for the walks

There are quite some some steps to hike up (did not count them). But it is worth it. The place offers different gardens and for being a tourist place it still has a very nice tranquil energy. You will find bathrooms conveniently and some convenience stores to drinks etc. We took the cable care ride down the hill thinking you... More

i visited this place this June and it is so exquisite and luring. Arrays of architectures get lost among the thick forest, and a bell will highlight the tranquility here. Feast my eyes on the enticing scenery, i tasted local snacks, they are so nice. Golden Temple is the core of this anciet archiecture complex, which will dash out thousands... More

Very beautiful Chinese temple! very authentic...the atmosphere is peaceful, the park is nice.. we were there in Sunday and saw a group of people singing Opera/song. there are local people making exercise, singing and playing games... One of the most beautiful Chinese temples I have ever seen - highly recommended. Nice view of the city from the bell tower

The temple complexes at this park are well preserved the and gardens provide some very interesting, relaxing strolls. I spent half a day here and could have stayed longer. There are a lot more Chinese tourists than foreigners but enough foreigners that you're not an oddity. I especially liked climbing to the top of the bell tower. The 'gold temple'... More
