Beautiful, friendly campus worth a stroll if you are in the neighborhood. Some of the architecture is very well preserved, although it has lost some of it's energy since the main campus has now moved to the outskirts of town. Good place for pick-up basketball with locals, or skateboarding on the long walkways!

The climate of Kunming allows a wide variety of flowers and greenery to flourish, and indeed it does at the entrance to the university. There are a daunting number of steps for those looking for the exercise, but an easier asphalt path to the left. Once on campus, a good map is helpful because the campus layout is a little... More

The university was the host of the conference. They were very helpful and go out of their way. There are nice places to visit in the university. There is a very ancient building where imperial court exams were held. When we were there, a student held a painting exhibition. We also watched students talented in dancing. The night market beside... More

The campus is not close during night time not until midnight. Lights made it more attractive to take photos. The school they do have their own hotel and outside to it were surrounded by food and souvenirs shops.

This must be one of the finest university campuses that I have visited. The buildings are grand and their scale is very impressive. The library is worth having a look at with the wonderful glass roof/ceiling. It is a real metaphor for the modern China.

There are some fine buildings on the campus, but it's unfortunate that so many of the gardens have been destroyed and concreted over for car parking.

Lovely campus that's close to restaurants. Take a walk through and around the campus - some buildings are over 100 years which you don't see so much in China.

I visited the university on my last day. I don't have any plan on my last day. Then one of my roomate which is one of the local people volunteer to show me around the university area. Its nice to spend your time just strolling there and have a look on how the local university look alike. Its near Green... More

talking about the one in Chengong. You've never seen anything like it. It's so big so beautiful... with canteens restaurants, a library on 5 stairs. Totally amazing. Look:http://voyage-positivisme-recettes.over-blog.com/2014/05/universite-de-yunnan-kunming-chine.html
