Worth stopping by here on a visit to Kunming. Impressive arches and usually something interesting going on, especially during the evening.

Not a must-see attractions, just a landmark of Kunming city, the joys are the night markets around it. During the night, many stands with commodities and handicrafts are there. It is also a square for many locals morning exercise, if you get up early aand get there round 7 o'clock, you can see the olds are doing exercise.

Ancient city gate type arches. Good for a quick look. Easy to get to -- in the center of the city. Many bus lines come here. Just walk around for 15 or 20 minutes and snap some photos. Other than the nice architecture of the arches, there was little else to protect the site against the thousands of passers-by tramping through its midst daily.
