Just after entry... a sound wow will come out from your mouth. Very big area. So i will suggest you to make whole day plan...otherwise you will be tired. But some portion of this botanical garden is not well maintained .... so i gave three star.

The array of flower beds were amazing but i wish the language barriers are taken into consideration especially the tiacket booth and at least the buggy drivers should be able to speak english. And PLEASE becareful of the buggy ride drivers. It's only CNY25 per person to get the buggy ride..we almost got cheated right smack infront of the ticket... More

I really like the section here where they displayed gardens and famous sites from all the provinces in china. It was a great way to get a flavor of all the different provinces in china. They are currently trying to include some amusement park rides here. As for the foreign portions of the expo most of those are gone now... More

Wonderful travel site for family, couple, single. You can easily found all facility you need. This place become a fabulous area after 2009 Expo. You will need at least 4 hours in order to finished your trip. I would recommend this place as a weekend play site.

Great Gardens, it will take you many hours to see them all, so budget your time accordingly. Sadly, the focus now seems to be selling Jade in the "Jade Museum", and not on the Gardens themselves, many attractions/halls were closed and it was very apparent that selling Jade was now the #1 goal. Still, it is a very good and... More

World Expo was open in 1999, a long time ago. Now many parts of the park have been privatized or closed. If you simply want to enjoy the stroll and the sight of trees and plants, it's fine. But the ticket is terribly expensive. And it's hard to get a taxi back to the city (or hotel).

Sorry, I am not a shopper. Lots of jewelry, food, tea, silk ... generally Chinese products for sale here. I didn't think the prices were outstanding. So this place didn't get much money from me!

this attraction has been lovingly maintained since expo 99 ....... from the entrance you sense the excitement people must have felt 13 years ago when they probably queued for hours to get in. Still queues ..... but that's China ..... just not as long as they would have been then. Walking past the different national garden sites is almost like... More
