we were staying at the Guiling lijiang waterfall hotel which is just by this lake. The highlight of this is walking by the lake in the evening and admiring the amazing pagodas and lighting setups.

This is a well looked after park. Very clean and scenic. Also the terrain is pretty flat so it is suitable for people of all ages. Great views of the Lijiang river as well as a tributary and some pretty lakes. You can also sneak a view of Elephant trunk hill in one area, although the view is partially obscured... More

Very nice lake with a few bridges that are miniature replicas of famous bridges/places. Plenty of greenery along the edges and the many ginko trees with its brownish-yellow leaves provided a lovely contrast. Was there in November and the weather is cool and beautiful.

One must take a motor ride at about 20 30 yuan to go round the river as well as the lakes. This will be passing the famours twin pagodas (the Sun and Moon) as well as other places like the Elephant Trunk Hill etc. The motor boat tour can be bought just behind the Lijiang Waterfall Garden Hotel at interval... I quite fancy guilin and these lakes are a big part of that. Sure they have everything lit up at night and it looks cool but I enjoy hanging out during the day and watching life go by. Generally pretty easy to find a quiet spot to yourself, especially on the opposite sides of the lakes from the busy tourist... More

We stayed at the nearby Waterfall Hotel and really enjoyed walking around the area. It included a good street for shopping and dining, a view of the elephant rock across one of the lakes, the gold and silver pagodas at night and the town square. Good for a couple of free time hours if you are on a tour as... More

Not too many vantage points so it can get a little crowded. We visited it at day and it was even cooler at night when all lit up.

This attraction is FREE and it's a nice area to walk around and relax .Come back in the evening for amazing photos of the Sun and Moon Towers. Next to this park is the Lijiang Waterfall Hotel where you can watch a free waterfall show at 8:30pm every night.
