Wonderful formations - best I've seen - but suffer a bit from the coloured lighting (all a bit kitsch).

Good view, do the short trip otherwise gets boring. My wife is Chinese and they complained to her that I need to tip the boatman, I was too heavy(78kilos only) and foreigners must pay more- wouldn't shut up the whole trip on water. Pushing to sell us reheated fish- wanted $40. Beware- give them nothing. Bad attitude and rude

Popular in Guilin, easy and nice walk around the river, i didn't take the boat, good night view with light, and can see the sun and moon tower.

We walked around part of it today, and while it is largely manmade, it's still a pleasant walk. The bridges are pretty impressive today. Sadly, when it turns to nightime, the Chinese seem to feel the need to light things up with bright, flasing lights, and this place is no different. Worth a walk around but Guilin has very little... Guilin is becoming more and more trendy and nearly all tourist attractions are artificial. Totally not worth a visit.

We have this trip during nights. Hop on a boat, and they will take us around the river. This attraction becomes quite impressive because they have a good lightning all around. And because a lot of those lightning we can enjoy the cliff surround the river. The dancing and musical shows also quite interesting, but they not stop long enough... More

Not for me - in a city filled with natural beautiful landscape they decided to built a series of fake structures, imported trees from elsewhere to fill the river and lakes for a boat trip. There are better things to do

We walked during the afternoon, morning and night time and each time the scenery was different. It is quite pretty during the day and deliciously cheesy at night as it is lit up like a fairy tale. Walking is fun and free. The boat trips are extortionate as are the prices for other attractions in Guilin.

Great trip and enjoyed the cormorant night fishing , it is a bit difficult to see in the dark though , but still worth it , only lasts 1hr .
