Very few westerners walking in the park but well used by locals and by Asian visitors. If you need to know something in English find a small child (5 - 9 years old) their English is very good. They will also seek you out ... wanting to practise their English or ask to have their photo taken with you. They... More

This trip was interesting. The view is really cool and the lighting on everything is great. There are also some small performances during the ride which is very nice. The boats however are full of Chinese tourist and if your lucky you can get out but only in some area's.

Even when it was raining this is a great boat tour! The walking paths have so much excellent landscaping it is hard to describe. We stayed at Bravo Hotel & highly recommend it if you can get a room with better cool air than we had. Larry

If you are looking for some peace and quiet this is a lovely walk. Make sure you take some shade with you as it was extremely hot at times. This area was very quiet and we met only a handful of Chinese tourists and no westerners. It is very relaxing and cheap way to spend an afternoon.

Amazing time taking a cruise during night time with lights besides the lake and river. A place must to see. Sorry to see the birds who have to catch the fishes. What a pity !

We went on this evening cruise, which is rather an artificial experience. We were promised an English guide, and didn't really get one, so that may have been part of the problem. The two pagodas are lovely but were constructed in 2000, and everything else in this attraction dates from that time or thereafter. The lights were beautiful, and your... More

great experience where you may have a relax cruise while viewing the calming scenery. However the process of releasing the water and reloading the water is kind of time consuming and at that point of time it is sort of suffocated.

Went in August period, the cruise ride was interesting but it was terribly hot and stuffy. Be ready to fight for camera opportunity.

Whether you take the night cruise, the day cruise, or just walk around the area, these lakes and rivers are what make Guilin such a beautiful place. There is ample shade of the sidewalks, the river keeps it cooler, and is a great opportunity to admire the natural beauty in Guilin.
