Try and go either in the morning or late at night when its cooler, but this mountain is certainly one that you should climb. The park itself is beautify and the mountain sits on the river. Spend some time and enjoy the mountain!

At ¥75 entrance fee there is not much to see. The gardens are ok but poorly signposted. Some signs will lead you straight to a locked gate. There are no signs pointing to the elephant rock so it's a case of walking around until you happen upon it, and even then you are right on top of it so you... More

A pricy and touristy park with an elephant theme. Nothing much to see other than the city from when climbing up the hill. Skip this trip if you do not fancy paying 75RMB per person to enter. There are also several shady characters offering you discount "ways to enter" just outside the park itself. They will either sell you an... More

Not the price of admission. Years ago I was there and it was cheaper and when you climb the hill you can see everything. Now it is over grown and over priced and you see nothing. See it from a distance and you do not have to pay.

This park really features Elephant hill but there are also other areas that are enjoyable to walk around and see. The view of the mountains and river as well as flowering trees and plants. It was within walking distance from our hotel which made it very convenient. We enjoyed some ice cream as well as some cultural dancers giving a... More

One of the most beautiful and well preserved parks . The mountains around it added to the beauty of the park . A MUST VISIT .

It is a place to walk a little with your family and take nice pictures...the elephant cave is a nice shot and interesting rock formation. At the very top of the mountain our tourist guide told us there was a monastery with a one door opening atop of eveything...interesting. We saw people in boats on the lake but we didn't... More

While the park is known for it's "Elephant Trunk" cave feature, I found that to be just one small part of a much larger, nicer forested area in otherwise-grey downtown Guilin. I spent hours wandering the paths around the central karst before finally reaching the "trunk"/cave part, which - in tourist off-season, at least - you can climb around in... More

Guide told us the elephant trunk hill is the image of Guilin City. As I saw it, I was so agree. The hill is a so typical karst hill that represent the character of Gulin landscape. The elephant shape hill stands by the Li River, which is also the most famous river in Guilin, how amaing the scene is!
