The palace city is located at downtown of Guilin. It takes about one hour to cover the whole site. Used to be quite magnificent back in its days but now all we saw is ruined walls, dingy stairways and towering tress, all bringing a bleak and sad feeling. The highlight of the visit was the demonstration show of China's imperial... More

The name of the hotel was translated as 4 Seasons by my wife, but outside it says in English,Eva Inn. The room is brighter, than The Museum Hotel, but not great for a 4 star hotel at around 500 yuan a night for 2 nights, but my wife is happy, as it’s cleaner and has a view, through trees, of... More

I found some of the photos of jingjiang wangcheng are photos of Guilin City. Jingjiang Wangcheng city is also called Jingjiang Wangfu. means palace of Prince Jingjiang. It's the center of Guilin where beside the Zhengyang Walking Street and the river li. Now it's not just a attraction but also the branch of Guangxi normal University specially for art majors.... The view from the temple atop the Solitary Beauty karst is spectacularly breathtaking - but be warned: The climb is not for the faint-of-heart! It's not a cheap view, either (entrance fee to the "city" is 75 RMB). All the exhibits and plaques are in Mandarin Chinese, so history buffs won't get much out of it. However, it was nice... More

Yep,it's a branch campus of Guangxi Normal University.Planted with lot of osmanthus trees,Wangcheng City is shady and cool. Most of the students in that branch campus are major in Art. U can hear graceful melody flowing out of the classroom.Actually, most area of the campus can be visited free, only the Solitary Beauty Peak and the rooms guarded by securities dressed in... More

I am very interested in Chinese history and culture, so Wangcheng City or Jingjiang Prince City was the must-see spot for me in Guilin. It is located in the downtown of Guilin City and very close to Zhengyang pedestrian street, which is a shopping street with delicious snacks. In Wangcheng City, I felt so impressive about the Chinese ancient cuture... More

You can climb to the top of the hill inside the walls. It's a very sweaty activity in summer, and the stairs very steep - not for the faint-hearted, but a good view at the top.
