You need to take a cable car ride up to the mountain and from there get a bird's eye view. For those who are more adventurous you can take a ride down using the sled. It was cool up there but the air was polluted by cigarette smoke. What a shame! They should ban smoking up there.

It is definitely worth to go to th peak. For the breathtaking views, less for the other activities offered.

The ski lift offers great views and the top of the mountain also offers great views. It was nice. On the ride down we stopped half way and took the bobsled ride down the rest of the way. It was fun. I recommend this as a half day trip.

The scenery realy impressive. Should do a raft tour on the river and climb the moon mountain. Quite a long ride from guilin, but surely worth the time.

All the tourist brochures scream about Guilin being a 1000 year old attraction and very scenic but I must say you have to totally scale down your expectations to see this attraction. What is advertised as a cable car ride is actually a chair lift going up the mountain. The way you are shoved in and thrown out of the... More

The cable car up to the mountain was exciting but going down on the luge track was even more thrilling

We added this to our guided tour on Guilin instead of going to the art gallery. It was well worth the extra money we paid. We were there in January - off season - so had the place to ourselves - no queues, no waits, teenager went straight on the luge. Fantastic views and enjoyable cable car ride. Even the... More

When we visited in December (off peak) we were lucky that there was no queues. The cable car was really smooth and enjoyable. The view was awesome and being a clear day we could see for miles. The temple was impressive and we bought a ribbon and wrote our names + children's to ensure prosperity and a healthy life, and... More
