It was a hazy day when we went up the mountain in the chair lift and one could only imagine how spectacular it would be on a clear day. I was a long ride and you got a reasonable view of the mountains and valley below. We could see steps leading up the mountain side so I guess that you... More

We were told that the Yaoshan Mountain Scenic Area was the place to see the most beautiful views of the Guilin area, so we made that a priority for our time in Guilin. Our family (with 2 children aged 7 and 10) spent the morning at Yaoshan Mountain, which was named for the Yao emperor temple at the top of... More

I love photography, so I asked my tour guide from GreatWallDiscovery where the best place is for photography. She told me that Yaoshan Mountain is the one I was looking for. Going up to the mountain, I found the scenery so beautiful here. When the sun set, the sunshine colored the sky, it is so so so....... My tour guide... More

The cable ride is on chair lifts and not cars and goes to the very top of Yao mountain, a very nice ride with views. If you look below you can see burial sites and we were told that some of these are very very old. I hate heights and felt nervous but made it to the top by looking... More

Take a cable car ride to the top while taking in the breathtaking mountain scenery. Once you get to the top, walk around the summit and look around there. Once you do that, you take a really fun toboggan down the mountain in which you can choose the speed. We had a driver from Guilin China Travel Service who we... More

We have been there many times, doing all kinds of stuff, hiking, paintball C.S., BBQ, cable car ride and camping. I love it especially for the summer hiking and camping at the top. Walking from the foot to the top is about 6km one way and you can make a stop at the waist and collect fresh mountain spring. People... More

This spot is around 20min from guilin city center away. You get up with some type of cable car. I can definitely recommend to take the slide ride down the hill...a lot of fun. On top attractions are rare, the focus is the view over the mountain ranges of guilin etc. tip: ask your hotel for a taxi to bring... More

We found we had some extra time in the area and were recommended this attraction by some locals. The cable car could be scary for those afraid of heights but once the fear is conquered it's great! The scenery is beautiful and there is a lot of information at the top of the mountain. Well worth doing!

Great and beautiful view from the hill. We take cable car to go up and down the hill. You will enjoy the ride, and also the view around the Guilin. It seems like the drawing. You can also walk around to see the buddha statues, depicting 12 different Chinese zodiac signs.
