Just get out and walk along the river area anytime of the day but especially at night. Very nice thing for couples or for showing visiting GZ guests.

The combination of neon lights and the river creates a beautiful picture which tells you Guangzhou is a prosperous city. However, to me, the whole picture is just an artificial one where you can find similar places all along the country's coast, say, Xiamen, Shanghai, etc. I would prefer to spend my time in the historical part of the city... Dont waste your money, if you wish to see the river lights at night, you can just do it from the river bank. A boat ride is just not kool. The boats there pollute the water which in turn kills all the fish and other marine life in the river.. The boats pollute the river immensely as well. Most of... More

We went on a Pearl River cruise at night and loved the lights. The Canton Tower is spectacular with a constantly changing array of colour combinations. Well worth the trip to get a different perspective.

Beautiful cruise ! That is to me the number one thing to do in guangzhou! Take the night cruise and watch the city lights from the boat deck. Typical Chinese diner is served on board.

Me and my friends strolled here one night and we saw one of the river cruise boat passing by and decided to give it a try. In my opinion, it was the best was to fully enjoy what the river has to offer. It took almost an hour for the whole trip but worth every penny. The weather was clear,... More

There are many ways to enjoy the view of the Pearl River. You can stroll along the river side and watch the locals enjoy themselves with dance and other stuff - specially around area near the university. You can also take a cruise - the food is not worth to purchase, but it is possible to buy something to drink... More

Greater than our expectation of this river cruise experience - one hour. Sat on the top to enjoy the open top fantastic view! Brought our own bottle of wine and had great time/view for that hour! After the cruise, it was a nice walk along the river!
