An important river with neon lights sparkling around, and lots of cruises went on and on. Good for a nice, relaxing walk after a day of busy shopping, but some spots were clogged and polluted.

I wandered/strolled for a whole hour on both sides of the river. Very nice stroll with loads of locals walking, jogging, biking or just sitting and enjoying the sights it has to offer. You can also get a cruise and otherwise looked at those cruises up and down the river with a majestic background of high rise towers & bridges... More

This is an important river from the standpoint of South China commerce. I walked along the banks at several points and crossed two of the bridges to and from Shamian Island. Next time I hope to take one of the cruises.

The night cruise along the river was the highlight of my trip to Guangzhou. The changing colour of the Canton Tower is so beautiful.
