Great place to catch the sunset

Came here several times during my stay in Guangzhou. I think the best time to come here is to catch the sunset.

Go for a walk, jog or bike ride on the banks of the Pearl River... one of the features of Guangzhou. Or take a day or night cruise on one of the river cruise boats. Really picturesque and good fun.

We caught the last boat for the evening and it was lightly raining but the trip was worth the effort and really fun. A local attraction too so many locals. The government to save money has the lights slightly dimmed but who would know? It was lovely and eye candy. Many boats tours are available. Ours had free key rings... More

We enjoyed seeing the amazing city lights, including the lit up boats, along the Pearl River at night. Particularly Canton Tower. Recommended.

Went on the buffet dinner cruise, food was just average, stewards and stewardess do not understand English. View on the night cruise was excellent.

Not really nice to see, very smelly and not clean. We do not recommend to stay to a place near the river

The river view is pretty, and the lights at night are pretty too but I didn't think a boat ride was really worth it.

Had a nice time walking walking along the Pearl River. You can walk along the river from Samian Island to the Canton Tower. So much to see. I even went down and had a look at the Guangzhou shipyards. There were hundreds of Buddhists opposite there releasing thousands of live fish into the river.I lso took a ferry to cross... More

While on a solo business trip, I found walking along the banks of the Pearl River in the evenings very pleasant. It's well lit, and has peddlers of fruits, souvenirs and other items, so you don't feel alone. Of course, you will also find couples, young and old.
