Visited Guangzhou Zoo in December 2011 with my partner / fiancé. We both had a fantastic time and took plenty of pictures. Whether your visiting the zoo with or without children you'll be sure to have a tremendous time. More

I am no animal rights activist, but this was hard to witness. I am a fairly even keeled and positive reviewer, so to sum it up - we made the best of the park, but we did not stay very long. I tried to make the best of the situation with the kids so that we could make the most... More

With the admission fee RMB 20 only and easily accessed by metro, me and my husband spent about 2hrs for a quick visit to the zoo. Since this zoo has been built for quite some time, you can see the facilities and stuff are quite old. But not a bad option if you are tired of the busy city life.... More

I had an okay time but i have no desire to come back again. The entry fee is cheap but it does not include any of the shows. So if you want to see the shows buy the ticket that includes it. The zoo closes early at 4pm, so make sure you know the times for the shows because you... More

Compare to Changlong, it's very bad. The animals are very old and the management is not good. More

Well, it's free... or was it just really cheap? Either way, you get what you pay for. Some animals in small cages... if you're bored and don't want to spend a lot, a good way to spend an afternoon. But if you REALLY want to see animals and a good variety of them, go to Chimelong Safari Park. It's the... More

Firstly, the cost: we are an english-speaking family of 5 and travelled from Tianhe district via taxi for 12RMB one-way. The admission was 50RMB for an adult, and there is an odd height-based system (encountered also at the hotel where we stayed) where kids under 1.2m are free (5RMB for the 6yo who was between 1.1 and 1.2m). It is... More

Loved the Pandas and the Koalas I saw there. The zoo is huge with lots of animals who appear well kept in their natural environment. Don't miss the safari - you can join the free train ride into the safari park (comes with the ticket) or a private tour. I took the MTR to the park but problem was the... More
