This museum is withing the Yuexiu Park. For only 10 yuan, visiting this museum was worth it. The 5 or so floor building is in itself a lovely view to look at. It was interesting reading & seeing the old way of life over different dynasties..reading about the history/early beginnings of Guangzhou. The top floor has souvenirs you can buy... More

It does not take you more than two hours to go through this museum and by the content you see, it seems that you have spent a whole day learning about Guangzhou. There's two parts to this museum, and the more interesting half is closed during lunch hours. It's located in YueXiu Park and a bit hard to find while the remodel the park (signs are down). It's certainly a nice little visit with some special things from the area.

I expected more from a museum, but otherwise it was enough insights to the local history, and for someone who had never been to China. I guess this could be one of the 'must-see' item while in Guangzhou.
