Chenghuang (or Shing Wong in Cantonese) is the City God. He is a mid-level deity in the traditional Chinese pantheon - not really a specific god, but more a type of god. This temple is a very nice one and one of the best in Guangzhou. Worth a visit - it is not busy and you can really explore uninhibited.

This temple is located next to Nanyue Kingdom Palace Museum. It has gone through restoration and refurbishment in the past years. Valuable architectural, historical and cultural artifacts are well-preserved. It is worth a visit.
