cost 100 dollars to go to top and use the rides .30 dollars just to viewing level.we thought we had incorrect information on pricing so travelled to tower to check. no way would we pay these rates and take a chance that the smog levels would obscure views anyway. much better to view tower lit at night from boat ride.

When i was in Guangzhou, my friends and I went to the Canton Tower. We went there at night by the subway. There's a station right next to the tower. The tower were cover by lights at night and it was very beautiful. The lights changing colors every minute. We can go up by buying ticket. If you just want... More

Great way to spend the late afternoon and evening, watching from the viewing platform as the night lights come on in the city. An impressive sight from the ground, as the lights change colour. Disappointing that there isn't much else in the area in the way of shops/restaurants.

I enjoyed Canton Tower. Its really super high, much more than I thought and it even managed to pull my scare of heights out for a while in the elevator up ;) We went on the bubble tram on the top which was really amazing also and great for photos. The only bad side in my view are the prices,... More

Yes, it is pricey. You can try once just for the experience to see the beautiful surroundings and the river just beside. Somehow, it feels nicer to look at the tower than look out of the tower.

Tallest building in Guangzhou, if you will be lucky and have a decent weather without pollution you might actually enjoy it. It offers nice change from the otherwise gray city. I recommend to enjoy it just from the Pearl river cruise.

to go up to the top costs quite a lot, especially for chinese standards, but at the top is a ride (extra) available to go on annd magnificent views of the city. Alternatively, go to the New town area across the river at night to take pictures or ride the river cruises, of which there are many and travel right... More
