I guess it depends on the time you go but the view from the top when I went was terrible, though the 'Jumping over the wall is prohibited' signs up there were helpful. All in all it was an OK experience but the tower and surrounding district was more impressive at night with the financial district close by.

I recommend visit during evening. The view is simply great and the Bubble tram ride at the top of a tower makes the visit awesome. Do try the Bubble tram. Many people say that the tickets are expensive, though I am not of that opinion.

on the ground you have photographers you can pay to make a pic for you of you on the background. Why not photobomb? student price available... It's the full price from tier 3 weirdly enough. Get the 2nd price tier package to get to the observational deck and the top floor and the 10 meter drop thrill ride "sky drop"... More

The from the Canton Tower is stunning.. the city is a contrast of the old and new China and the view from the Canton Tower demonstrates those sharp contrasts....... The fee to enter the tower is a bit pricey and we found the view from the Four Seasons to be almost as good.......and free! The Canton Tower is really beautiful... More

This is the most attractive and interesting sight in Guangzhou. Without this city attraction the city would seem quite dull. The tall tower can be seen from all around the city, and you can t miss it , particularly at night as there are colour changing lights all around the tower. It has a similar effect to the Eiffel Tower,... More

The views from the Canton Tower are great, this is a popular attraction so expect crowds. Due to time constraints, I had only one day to visit Canton Tower. Although it was raining it was still a good experience.

The architecture of this building is really impressive, and it's beautiful to see. The top does give you panoramic views of Guangzhou, and it is pretty, but it's not breathtaking. There are several options for tickets: the first viewing platform (not outside, through glass) - 150 RMB, the very top (230RMB) and then options for the drop ride and the... More

Visited the Canton Tower in Early July 2014. The views were amazing, although some parts were hard to see through due to the structure. It was a little over priced too.
