Took a cab to the pearl River Area to take e boat cruise, You have actually several choice of boat and fllor. Since it was humid, I chose to take the second floor air condition section with side sofa. You can also choose to have dinner, but I decided that it was not worth it. I stayed practically indoor while... More

This is a must for anyone visiting Guangzhou! I could have happily cruised the river every night we were there! So Many lights.

The cruise is just long enough (30+ minutes) to enjoy a scenic impression of the newly developed river front. Don't be bothered by dinning on the cruise, it's not worth it. Choose the right time, not during the rainy seasons because you would love to enjoy the view from the open top deck.

Full day shopping..needed a place to relax..local friends of ours took us for this river cruise trip. It was beautiful. To see guangzhou beauty, one should see from the river. We have booked our seats along with dinner on the 2nd deck of the boat. Food was ok but that was the least important... the cameras kept clicking for about... More

We went on the Pearl River Night Cruise as an added option to our GZ private tour. The food we experienced was only so-so. Not everyone on-board pays for the buffet so the food runs out quickly. Tip: line up early to board your boat to get seated on the second level if you're paying for the dinner buffet. If... More

I wanted to stay in the centre of Guangzhou having passed through the airport many times and stayed on the outskirts. This trip to China I did it and The Pearl River night time cruise. I paid 138RMB for the cruise that served a Western Food buffet. After the boat left and we had our food it was everybody for... More

The positives were the structured seating (you need to read your table number on your ticket) and the fantastic view of the Guangzhou skyline. Chinese tea was provided, as well as some dried fruit and nuts. There was a small bar stocking beer and the boat wasn't too crowded. However, the route was short and uneventful. There was no guide... No English. No queue. It’s every man for himself as the other reviewers have mentioned or you can see from my photographs for proof. I paid an amount without being explained cruise or seating choices. In the end, I was given a seat on the lower deck and had to spend time outside on the walkway throughout the cruise to... More

Great way to see the city and to get some great shots however, your experience will be based what boat you choose. I would recommend getting on the really cool looking 3 tier boat that is a throw back to old fashioned Asian cruising boats or one of the other "luxury" ones. Why? Not packed on a boat with people...
