Like Beijing Lu, this street is not worth your time and effort to visit (unless you are under 21 or like overpriced plastic, cosmetics and petite-sized clothing). In the photos at night, it looks as magnificent as Japan's Ginza, but it doesn't hold a candle. Internet information suggested taking Exit D from Changshou Lu, but Exit D leads straight into... I visited Shangxiajiu Road on 2004 for the first time. I didn't plan to do a shopping, just my uncle took me around for sightseeing, and how I amazed to find the prices are extremely low... Gosh! I can find good boots under 50 CNY for they equalled to 300 CNY in my country. So, I bought a lot and... More

It doesn't matter either Beijing Lu or Shangxiajiu Lu, everything is the same: the price, the crowd, bargains hot sales and lot of eating. But you can definitely bargain in shops which are little away from the main road. We managed to buy some stuff for the half price. You can try once but I believe everywhere it is same... More

A wet Sunday along Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street and mayhem reigned!! The noise, the hustle 'n bustle, the colour, the bargains, the fabulous sculptures and the intriguing side streets and laneways where daily life continues as it always has. Yes it is worth a visit.......by the way, we walked back this way (and the entire 3kms back towards CBD) early on... More

Almost every major city has a shopping pedestrian street. Guangzhou is no different and has quite a few pedestrian street. Part of the street is closed to traffic, while automobile traffic is allowed on another section of the street. Both sides of the street were lined up with clothing, shoes, and other tourist shops. It's really quite ordinary as a... More

Shoppers heaven if you really love shopping :) Nice streets to walk along and shop all day. Prices are not the cheapest (vs. warehouse/wholesale areas) but shopping is more pleasant and enjoyable here.

Been there 3 times and love the brand Yishion ( women & men) Staff very helpful and great variety of clothes. I personally think that the clothes are better than H&M. Price range like Singapore Giodano but designs are nice and modern. There are other shops selling lingerie and accesories. Lingerie is super cheap and very good quality too. A... More

Good: Lots and lots and lots of stores. Bad: So many so much the same. Good: It goes on and on and on. Bad: In summer, that means walking in very hot weather for way too long. Good: Prices are pretty cheap. Bad: Quality might not be great at a lot of places. Good: Lots of places to sit down... More
