Whilst the cost was high, it is clear that the money is well spent in caring for the animals, providing excellent, large enclosures. The animals nearly all seemed very happy. There were also a lot of staff ensuring that no one was throwing food at animals or littering. The whole park was very clean. We did not choose to see... More

The Safari Park has a lot lot lot of wildlife animals, and a lot of such animals are new to me. Plus, animal shows are fantastic. Personally, I like the white tigers.

The zoo has parts that are wonderful - quiet tree-lined arcades that lead from enclosure to enclosure. The panda exhibition and the baby tigers were fun. Be careful of the Jurassic Trail, as once you start on the path you have to go to the end - this may result in you being trapped with very densely packed families and... More

There is really nothing special about the park though it does have good collection of wild animals like Lion, Tiger and Leopard. The tickets are quite expensive at RMB 280 per person. I would prefer Singapore Zoo anytime over Chimelong.

We first took our car through the safari area and were thrilled with the quantity and variety of each animal - basically a dozen of everything - black bear, brown bear, siberian tiger, white tiger, elephants, giraffes, pandas, camels, etc. etc. etc. It was incredible to see so many. They seemed to be well cared for, maybe could use a... More

Went as a family and had a great day. It is well set out into theme areas. The shows are well worth looking at, even though they are in Chinese, which is fair enough as we are in China. We had lunch at the Panda Restaurant, and were able to look at pandas through a glass enclosure as we ate.... More

I love the Chimelong Xiangjiang Safari Park. The habitats are large. There are lots of animals in many of the habitats. So many of the animals play and look like they are smiling. The breeding programs are interesting. The shows are well done and again, the animals look like they are smiling. (except the 'Panda Show', this show is silly... More

Love looking at the facilities they have for raising young/new born animals - we loved the white tigers and being able to hold and take a picture with one was magically. Thanks !! Also loved the Safari Train where you can get up close to all the animals.

I visited the safari park last week, at the end of July. The initial shock at being charged 280RMB for visiting during 'holiday season' was quickly forgotten when we stepped inside and saw a flock of regal pink flamingos by the lake. Throughout, animals looked well cared for, well fed and clean; as an animal lover i was skeptical about... More
