We went to the Safari Park the first time on Mothers Day expecting a park where animals are caged. Instead we discovered a beautifully maintained, extensive green, environment with many animals living in good conditions. There were not many people and a discount on entry because it was Mothers Day. Amazing for China. You need a whole day to visit... More

Appalled at the activities with performing animals - circuses where animals are abused to baying crowds - was so shocked at the live animals being fed to the predators for sport ?? Lions fighting each other for a live chicken on a pole - Is this educational or blood thirsty - Not recommended for young children

Not a massive fan of zoo's in general. This is a pretty massive zoo! I felt so sorry for so many of the animals. All the children screaming, slamming on the glass, flash photography despite mange messages saying no flash photography, and no slamming the glass. There was minimal staff there to enforce the sanctity of the animals. I guess... More

Chimelong zoo and Safari is beyond words. Not only is the place a haven to hundreds of different species of animals, it is also a great educational centre for young children and adults alike. You will not see a single cage here. The animals are housed in huge enclosures. They are (relatively) free to roam around. The elephant show is... More

Nice place to spend the day with kids. Surprisingly big, with enough room for the animals, it's not like they are trap in a cage. Organisation is nice, but marketing is too much american style, pushing you every corner to buy something, even letting you go trough a shop to exit the park...

Our son really wanted to come here to see the white tigers. All of our expectations were surpassed though! This place is amazing! The drive through part was one great animal exhibit after another. Every kind of animal was out and easy to see, no disappointments. The biggest surprise was how many of each kind of animal they have exhibited.... More

Great day out for all the family although total price was similar to day in any place of its type around the world. There were a lot of people but it never felt over crowded. All exhibits were very well signposted maps were provided in English I spent a few extra Rmb and bought a fan with the map on... More

The Chimelong Safari Park is well-organized, both the park and the staff. It is only a pity that the visitors are not very well-educated, love to jam in all queues, talking loudly like in a wet market! The drawback from the park is the toilets, quite smelly and dirty...all because of the visitors who are not considerate. The coach buses... More
