The Chimelong Safari Park is well-organized, both the park and the staff. It is only a pity that the visitors are not very well-educated, love to jam in all queues, talking loudly like in a wet market! The drawback from the park is the toilets, quite smelly and dirty...all because of the visitors who are not considerate. The coach buses... More

You can easily spend a full day here. We arrived mid afternoon which only allowed us time to do the safari and see a few highlights of the zoo (which is enormous). I enjoyed the circus very much. You don't see circuses like this in North America anymore. However, if you are offended by animals in circuses (e.g. bears riding... More

We walked around and it was not hot as lots of trees in the park. The food is not that good though. We got to visit the triplet panda too. First time experience. pretty good.

Just beautiful, amazing, quiet, in the middle of the nature. Pandas, white tigers and many more. It's a pity that we could not see the panda triplets. Good motivation to come back again.

My advice : arrive to the park very early if you want to see all this place has to offer at a normal pace and do not leave the Safari on the wheels till the last moment. There are many remarkable features in this Safari park .The little cubs' area ,koalas ,Pandas off course and all well cared but you have... Adults a bit underwhelmed. Not the cheapest of family outings, but ticked all the boxes as far as our kids were concerned. Natural style habitats of decent size for a zoo. We were lucky to be allowed in with our own food, but beware bags were getting inspected and food not permitted to be taken inside. We went at opening... More

My husband and I went to see the Giant Panda;s in the park and were pleasantly surprised at what the rest of the zoo had to offer. While there have been some pretty negative reviews out there about the Safari park, we were surprised to find the animals well taken care of, having fun, and the park was clean as... More

Let me ask, would it be more humane culling these elephants instead of living here in a free range park? Because there's an overpopulation of elephants in Zimbabwe and these are pretty much the only choices they have. Apparently to these 'activists', no zoos should exist in the US or Europe as well because you're taking them from their habitat!... More

Brilliant. The Animals roaming free were a spectacle to see. Our group were transported around the park via a train. The Driver stopped at various vantage points for photographing. At the end you are privileged to walk through Jurassic Park/forest and finish in a huge cave with TRex and a monstrous Spinasaurris facing each other.
