It is a mosque but the history is very rich at this place. One needs a local guide to tell the actual history behind this place and the Battle of Badr which was just behind this mosque and there is a dried well near the small mounds.

When you pray there, just try to conceive our prophet prayed in that very place. The mosque is called masjid Al-areesh. This is the place where Muslims constructed a shade for the prophet used as command center for the great battle of Badr. Was great to be where some of the islamic history originated and to pray in the same place where our beloved prophet prayed - an absolutely awesome feeling.

Really Magnificent Mosque with its Great History ..... I really enjoyed my stay there ... it really worths the hours spent there and having the spiritual attitude ...

the silence of this town makes one realise the enormity and magnitude of the history of the place and the result thereof. the people are friendly yet reserved
