You'll probably have to cross Bolshaya Sadovaya at some point during your trip. Make it worth your time by going down into the many underpasses along this busy street.

I think, it's unique art for Russia and looks pretty good, especially one mosaic where children in class did a sum. These unique color mosaic tiles had turned the most boring underpass areas into stunning and dazzling works of art. These series are both dramatic and humorous. Even if you are in hurry take a minute to enjoy these magnificient mosaics. Here you can see the idillic pics of bright and happy life in Soviet Union, you can see different workers, scenes from school, hospital, even battles from The 2nd World War! While I wouldn't travel to Rostov just to see it; if you're already going, it's worth taking a look as it is the only city in all of Russia with this particular type of mosaic art.
