Stolby National Park is a sanctuary of peace and quiet outside of Krasnoyarsk- You need to walk for about 90 mins to reach the Stolby's. The Stolby are giant Rocks that have great views from the top! A whole day excursion! Worth the walk to the top- Mainly local tourists visit but a really great place to go! Very limited... More

went to krasnoyarsk for a break from transsiberian, mostly to see this national park. paths are easy and well marked for the most part, and the walk from the road to the actual stone features is actually quite nice. ended up going with a tour set up by SibTourGuide, though you could easily do it on your own by bus.... Stolby is a miracle of nature.Чистый воздух, хвойный лес. A leisurely walk youth and older people walking through the Park, climbing up the hill. And that's before them appear pillars Grandfather, Feathers and other. Someone climbs up on poles, someone judges near the foot. The beauty around.

Amazing views, beautiful wildlife, really felt like we had arrived in Siberia in this place. Recommend getting a guide so you get to see all the formations in one day. It's quite a climb up there so consider this if you aren't in your peak of fitness or have dodgy knees/hips.

Well worth a visit, the nature reserve covered in snow was a fabulous sight although of course it is very cold up on the rocks at this time of year. The hike up to takmak rock was moderately energetic, and the views from there pretty special. Take hot drinks and a small snack for energy, and paddle-sleds for the way... More

First of all, this place is for those who like nature and are in normal shape. You should plan a complete day for this and lots of walking. The variety of rock formations and the primeval feeling here is simply amazing. The legend says that the rocks were formed when giants threw them around in previous ages. There are 2... More

September, it should be the most beautiful season to visit this national park. It is the best place to have pick nick in Krasnoyarsk. Many local families, students, and couples are visiting there but it is like secret place for foreigners. I was very lucky to have chance to visit this place while I'm a Japanese.

Stolby: I left from the centre in the afternoon and it idd takes 2 to 3 hrs before you reach the actual area with the rocks. Explored the central area for a while then returned. No bus 50 connection anymore at 8pm so if you set out late, ask about alternatives (bus 78 and a change of buses). Best to... More
