We caught the bus from town to the ski area / ski lift m. This takes you to the national park without the long walk! You can walk through the forest and see the stolbys from a viewing area - and walk to one if you wish. Easy and makes a nice change from city activities.

The park is really big and beautiful. Remember, you have to walk 7 km to the real beginning of the park where you van find the rocks. You will recognise it by a chalet and a wooden stairs on your left. If you just walk 30m further (straight ahaid and a little bit downhill), you will find a natural spring... More

Stolby is wonderful. You can easily spend there whole day, just walking around the rock formations, inside the forest and having great views time to time. You will also meet squirrels, burunduks (chipmunks) and many birds. Wear proper shoes, don't forget mosquito spray and enjoy :-)

We took the ski lift to the top of the mountain and even enjoyed a simple lunch there. The view was awesome. Be sure to dress warmly if going in the winter. Weather conditions change quickly.

Been there this winter, a beautiful park I will never forget. The park is 7 km from the bus stop to reach the rocks... so the entire visit you will walk around 15 km! But it worths the effort. There was a lot of snow when I visited it, made it harder but more beautiful too!

We went with the chairlift to the top of the ski resort , went all the way through the fantastic scenario with cliffs and rocks. We wnt all 14 km form one end to the other and took the bus back to the ski resort . You have to pay for the chairlift to the top
