Of course no signs for foreign tourists in spite of the location. We wanted to find out whether they have any movies in English, woman in the cashier did not understand us, so I went to the bar where a young man and a young woman worked to ask them. They simply overlooked me, not greeted me back, not asked... More

The oldest movie theater in St. Petersburg built, I believe, in 1913 as the Pikadilly whose name was changed by the Bolsheviks after the Revolution to the name of the armoured cruiser whose firing of a dummy shell into the Winter Palace led, according to one member of the Aurora's audience, to "seventy years of catastrophe".
