The "food hall" is a genuinely exciting experience. They feature gourmet foods that are well displayed. The variety of meats and cheeses are all fresh as were the candy displays and fresh pastries. They have lite sandwiches and bellini's. Worth the stop. Located in a nice shopping area.

We stopped here with our private tour guide to get a quick lunch and what a wonderful & unique place this was!!! They have everything from pastries to candies; breads to caviars; and so much more!! The wait staff is very professional and so helpful! Would go back there as many times as I could!!!

I wish chocolate would travel better in suitcases on airplanes. I'd have had all my Russian gift shopping wrapped up here, literally and figuratively. And as other reviewers write, the seating area is limited, so keep your eye on the tables as you browse and shop. We arrived @ 1:30 on a weekday, and all the sandwiches were gone by... More

If you're in Saint Petersburg, you won't missed this beautiful Food Hall on 56 Nevsky Prospekt. This huge food hall is beautiful inside and out.The building was constructed in 1902–1903 for the Elisseeff Brothers. The cakes and lollies are work of art and the whole places is just like a museum! There is a small seating area in the middle... More

This place can give Fortnum and Masons a run for its money! Quite simply the most beautiful food hall, inside and out. The cakes are works of art and delicious too. Make sure you have time to sit for coffee and to eat here. The sandwiches are small but so fresh and tasty. It also is cheaper to eat here... More

This shop is a brilliant mix of foods, souvenirs, and museum. Called the most beautiful deli in St. Petersburg, there is so much to see, to taste, to take home. As a tourist, it might not carry anything you need, but plenty you want. We could have bought all our souvenirs there. We visited St. Petersburg in winter and a... More

We recommend those visiting Saint Petersburg to drop by this interesting food hall! There are a great selection of cakes, sweets, chocolates, caviars, cheese etc. One could really spend some time there to admire the beautiful pastries selection. We have tried the cakes and loved it!

A beautiful building inside and out- we enjoyed our petite lunch there- baguette-type sandwiches (could have used a little more meat) and one napoleon and an eclair. the eclair was especially good. My husband found the napoleon harder to eat. Takes you back to an earlier, more elegant era. Worth stopping for. We went after lunchtime, so had no problem... More

The food hall is interesting so pop in and have a look around for free (although if you want to take any photos you have to pay a fee or make a purchase). It might be OK for the grocery stands but I wouldn't recommend eating in. The food was expensive and poor quality. An interesting arrangement with the tables... More

Stunning building, amazing inside and a proper upmarket food hall like you used to get in upscale department stores in England. Seating area in the centre of the shop serving food and drinks and although not cheap the quality and ambience was worth paying the extra for. Really nice toilets too. Quirky also as you can only take photos inside... More
