If you are staying anywhere around Nevsky Prospekt you are likely to pass this place numerous times and they seem quite happy for people to pop in, browse and take photos. It's an iconic place of olde world charm with tables to eat in, or take away. My wife and daughter each enjoyed their muffins.

This store is not only magnificent in terms of architecture, window displays, and decor but also has an excellent selection of upscale foods from caviar, to pastries, to chocolate, to live oysters. The only place that I can think of that might be comparable from a food perspective would be Harrods Food Hall; but this place is far more interesting.... More

This store has undergone a major restoration to restore it to its former glory and reopened to the public in 2012. The Food Hall preserves the original 7 departments and carries French pastry, bakery, charcuterie, smoked salmon, caviar, wine&spirits, teas, coffee and candy. The shop is just beautiful with gilded ceilings, glitzy chandelier and many original features from its golden... More

Located right in the middle of Nevsky prospekt, this place is a must visit in my opinion. We popped in for coffee and a cake, which was very nice but you can buy lots of different things to eat in or take away. All of which looks brilliant! Pretty expensive, but worth it just to take in your surroundings. A... More

The "food hall" is a genuinely exciting experience. They feature gourmet foods that are well displayed. The variety of meats and cheeses are all fresh as were the candy displays and fresh pastries. They have lite sandwiches and bellini's. Worth the stop. Located in a nice shopping area.

I wish chocolate would travel better in suitcases on airplanes. I'd have had all my Russian gift shopping wrapped up here, literally and figuratively. And as other reviewers write, the seating area is limited, so keep your eye on the tables as you browse and shop. We arrived @ 1:30 on a weekday, and all the sandwiches were gone by... More

If you're in Saint Petersburg, you won't missed this beautiful Food Hall on 56 Nevsky Prospekt. This huge food hall is beautiful inside and out.The building was constructed in 1902–1903 for the Elisseeff Brothers. The cakes and lollies are work of art and the whole places is just like a museum! There is a small seating area in the middle... More

This place can give Fortnum and Masons a run for its money! Quite simply the most beautiful food hall, inside and out. The cakes are works of art and delicious too. Make sure you have time to sit for coffee and to eat here. The sandwiches are small but so fresh and tasty. It also is cheaper to eat here... More
