The building it is housed in is beautiful...the shop windows are wonderful...but the food hall is amazing!! There is so much to see (and taste), it was very difficult to decide what to buy!!

We enjoyed a latte and ice cream while wondering around this shop. You can have lunch or shop like for groceries you would find in a bakery/deli . They also sell candy and chocolates. We had fun looking at everything.

Yes, the building is great, the service is attentive, and the breakfast options in particular are excellent. But for our money it has been worth it for the coffee alone - the best cappuccinos that these Australians could find in all SPB.

In addition to all the reviews of the Food Hall, it really does need emphasising that there are two restaurants incorporated into this superb building - one in the basement and the second on the mezzanine floor. We wanted to have a special dinner on our last night in St. Petersburg and the lower restaurant menu did not quite "tick... More

Not sure if the original store really had this in mind, but whoever redid it a few years ago certainly advanced the idea of making money at any cost. This used to be a locals' favorite where people would get hard to get elsewhere delicacies. Now it's a hodgepodge of odd foodstuff that only has one thing in common: high... More

While it's worth admiring the art nouveau style of the store and the lavishly displayed foods. I found the food a bit pricey.

Specialty food shop in the most Opulent setting. Sit down on a velvet banquet around the giant pineapple (mayakovskii fans take note!). Have a glass of prosecco with an in house cake presented as a piece of art and you will almost expect the proletariat to storm the place.

It is an amazing market and food court with tables and waiter service. The greatest Russian teas are here along with great Russian cakes. The coffee is rich and delicious. Indeed, so are the oysters, so is the caviar, the cold cuts, the cheeses, omelettes and soups. This is a perfect place for breakfast, lunch, or a 4pm stop. It... More

I must admit that some of the cakes look good. I was interested in finding black cavier, we did- the smallest tin was 5000ru (about 100usd). The retired american lady next to me ordered a large tin without a worry in the world and enquired if she would need to put it on ice for her trip back to the... More
