the Strelka was a lovely place, we walked over one sunny morning and enjoyed views of the Hermitage and Peter Paul fortress. It seemed a popular spot for wedding photoshoots, we saw at least three brides having their photos taken. There were a couple of souvenir stands and a coffee shop.

Seems like its a place where wedding couples come for mini-ceremonies. We saw 2 couples - 1 released doves, the other smashed their wine glasses against the stoned structure - all with music provided by a one-man band. Worth a stroll.

Great place to snap photos. You can see everything from Hermitage to Peter Paul Fortress and of course Neva River as its best.

Whilst strolling around here a new bride and her husband and guests came for some wedding photos on a superb sunny day. Lots of people sit in the park watching the world go by. On the route to other historic sites.

Each time I come to Saint-Petersburg I visit this beautiful place - I simply like views of Neva embankment and historic buildings from here and to a considerable extent local fresh air)

Go there to get a good look at the Embankment across the Neva, and to see the Rostral Columns. There is a small monument at the forward edge of the Strelka , and visitors flip coins into it, using it as a "wishing well" of sorts. Adjoining the Strelka is the Naval History Museum.

It could be quite disapointing. It is very dirty and the park is not well kept. The Rostral columns are interesting. Drunk people meet there. Good place for some pictures.

This is a place for fireworks and parties, spectacular views, but watch out for drunks in wedding parties who all come here for pictures.
