I'm not very much into walking the shopping malls, so Gostiny Dvor didn't have much appeal to me. It's big, all right, and you can buy lots of stuff here, from souvenirs to designer clothes to original Beluga caviar (it IS expensive, you won't get it in most normal food malls); there's also a shop doing marvels out of chocolate....

Check out the souvenir shops on the first floor facing the Nevsky Prospect. You will find a great selection of authentic souvenirs at reasonable prices (unlike other places such as Onegin)
