Being one of the main symbols of St. Petersburg, this iconic statue won't disappoint you. Take the time to observe it and it's details.

Dedicated by Catherine the Great in honor of Peter the Great, the Bronze Horseman is an important symbol of St. Petersburg. It's worth the visit just to see the statue, but its location right near the bank of the Neva, with St. Isaac's Cathedral in the background (also a MUST-SEE), makes it that much more significant. Be sure to incorporate... More

This statue is one nice statue, but if you consider going to see it take in to account also that there is more than the statue to see. Also the park aside of the statue is very nice with beautiful flower arrangements in the summer time. Also the river and the view of the buildings and bridges are very nice.... More

There would be no St. Petersburg had it not been for the vision of Tsar Peter I, known historically as Peter the Great. This statue of the Tsar sitting astride his horse and gazing out over the Neva River has become the symbol of the city that grew out of his dream of a new capital for Russia. When Catherine... More

Its an important and beautiful statue of Peter the great who founded st petersburg. It's close to a lot if the other sites in the city especially st isaccs cathedral.... More

How fortunate we are that this impressive statue was not onliterated during the 100 day siege to which the city was subjected during WWII. Doesn't disappoint on sighting.

This statue is one of the most recognizable symbols of St Petersburg and is a must see for anyone visiting. The statue itself is located in a park and isnt too far away from Nevsky Prospekt, near the river Neva. As far as bronze statues go, it is quite impressive but isn't too dissimilar to other bronze statues of riders... More

A short walking distance from Nevsky Prospekt. It's okay I guess. The bridges over the river look beautiful during the night. There is a small garden surrounding it. But like some user said earlier "It's a statue".

Its an icon of Petersburg and definitely worth a photostop. The adj river Neva and the magnificent Isaac cathedral dome in the background make great pics.
