This is definitely one of the most prestigious music venues in town, once - place of gathering of nobility, masquerades. In Soviet time - place where Dmitry Shostakovich had his first performances until late years. Style of the hall - late rococo of mid-nineteenth century. It is used mainly for chamber concerts and solo recitals.
