This was the highlight of my visit to St. Petersburg. A must see and pay attention to the floors a well as the walls and ceilings. A fairy tale palace. Take the dinner tour if possible where you receive champagne, caviar and entertainment along with a great meal, vodka and wine!!! more

Through our hotel, we joined a day tour to visit the palace. The guide sure knows how to get into the palace and park, as well she gave a very detailed tour of the palace. Catherine's palace is 26 km outside St. Pertersburg and well worth the trip. It was destroyed by the Nazis and they painstakingly restored it to its prior state.
