We visited St. Catherine's Palace first thing in the morning and it was very crowded with huge groups from the various cruise ships. Although crowded we did enjoy seeing the different rooms and the artwork. The palace grounds are also very beautiful. More

The Palace is most impressive. But even though the opening hours are listed everywhere as 10 to 17, we were denied entry at 14 hours and told to come back at 16 hrs. A huge sign in front of the entrance probably said so as well, but is was only in Russian without just a single word in English. Poor... More
