I was blown away. Didn't even want to go. What a great performance of an updated version of this classic. And the comic relief was wonderful. Also great acoustics.

We saw the recent performance of Swan Lake. The principal dancers were outstanding. Costuming was gorgeous. We don't usually have access to top notch ballet in our area so this was a treat.

One of the finest and most impressive live performances I have ever seen. I not a connoisseur with ballet and dance and I found the experience to be incredibly moving, with the nostalgia of course of being inside the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. One for the bucket list peoples. Highly recommend.

We saw La Sylphide in the old theatre. The tickets were pricey, but it was a wonderful evening. The Russian ladies really dress up to go to the theatre! The interior is very beautiful and of course the dancing was first class! Do go to watch the ballet when you visit this city.

Although we walked past the old Mariinski theater, we attended a full length Kirov performance at the NEW Mariinsky. Do attend the ballet if it is performing. The new theater is nice, but nothing really sets it apart from other similar venues architecturally.
