I've never been so awe-struck nor so overwhelmed at any Church as I was here. The grandeur, artistry, ceiling, beauty were positively inspiring. I was incredibly lucky to arrive during a service, when the Choir was singing and the Priests doing a service. The Church was teeming with those who came to pray and give thanks, which added to its... More

Unbelievable mosaics both inside and outside Understandably the #1 attraction in St Petersburg. A must see. The best morning view is from the footbridge toward the Singer bldg.

A pleasure to see and beautifully decorated throughout. There is a charge to get in but it definately is worth a visit. The inside matches the beauty of the outside. When we wnet in April it was not too busy.

The exterior of this church, with its typical Russian cupolas, makes taking photos' irresistible. The walls of this church are covered with several 1,000 sq yds of mosaics, which are fascinating. There is also a beautiful marble floor. The historical reason why this church was built is sad - hence the name. It can get very crowded.

Many people cannot believe that it will be times when citizens of Saint Petersburg are able to see it again. Now it looks very attractive. It stands right on the place where Alexander II... More

A church of mosaics, it was an impressive interior, if a bit expensive. We weren't in there long. It was very crowded.

The total area of interior and exterior covered with mosaics is more than 7,000 square meters. An absolute must see on your visit to St. Petersburg.

Although church on Spilled-Blood is one of the most photographed places in SPB, yet inside can be a bit disappointment especially for the price you pay. The mosaics are impressive yes that is true but unless you are a devout Christian or historian once you have seen a couple you have seen them all. Also the fact that it has... More
