It was crowded, but worth the fight to look around. Audio tour was informational, though a tad bit lengthy.

This should definitely be on your list of things to see while in St. Petersburg. A very nice example of Russian Orthodox.

Most tourists make a bee line for the Hermitage when arriving in St Petersburg. Since I was studying the language here for 2 weeks I could afford to be more leisurely and I loved this Church situated at the end of the Griboedov Canal. Check out the history as to why it was constructed in the first place! The interior... More

There is nothing quite like it anywhere else in the world. Unfortunately there were men with machine guns guarding the door the day we wanted to go in, so we couldn't but even the outside alone is a must-see

The beauty, the history of the church. It was crowded, but that wasn't bothering that much. The colours, inside and outside.

Set on a canal, the area is rich in history, and a visit inside will move you. The detail and materials used are spectacular. Make sure you have a guide or you will miss out on a lot. The ceiling has a rare painting of Jesus as a youth.

This church was on our itinerary with SPB Tours who offered multiple day sightseeing tours of St. Petersburg attractions. The Russian architecture of the church is probably the main reason for a visit, but another might be to see the place of the Russian czar's assassination in the late 1800's. The church is a visual delight both inside and outside.... More

In spite of being fatigued from walking all over St. Petersburg for 2 days, this was well worth the visit. Absolutely beautiful architecture!

Absolutely beautiful Church. The tile work is like nothing else I have ever seen in that scale. Do not pass this stop.

The outside of this Church is really beautiful, and very Russian in its design. The roof alone is worth a visit. So much to see, but the inside is equally impressive, particularly if you have a guide to explain everything to you. We saw this near the end of a long day, but it was well worth the visit.
