Very impressive engineering, use of materials and scale. Cracking city views from the top. Well worth stopping by, not expensive.

This is getting boring, again there are Lovely Buildings & Architecture the opulence is amazing, just stroll around enjoy the art, the models depicting how it was all done and don't miss the doors .and war time photos of the destruction

I'm not greatly enthused by churches but this gives St Peters in Rome a run for its money. Fortunately there aren't as many tourists crammed in as there are at St Peters so a better experience.

than its the place to be. Amazing colors and pictures. With a good quality camera, you can create miracles there. Definitely should be in your top 3 to visit in St. Petersburg together with Hermitage and Church of the Savior on Blood. If the weather is good, it worth to pay extra and go upstairs to take panoramic picture of... More

It is a lovely Cathedral although now a Museum, just wish I'd been brave enough to take the trip to the top as the view must have been wonderful.

This has it all, tastefully done; the whole shebang - malachite and lapis lazuli faced columns. The paintings on closer examination reveal themselves to be exquisite mosaics.

At the time of my visit there were lots of reparation works going on, making the place quite dusty and not peaceful, with lots of shouting going on... but still, the view from the collonnade up top is absolutely magnificent and would merit a full 5 stars in normal time. Highly recommended.

Very much reminded us of St Pete's Basilica but it's still beautiful inside, and worth the visit. A ticket for the walk up the 219 steps to the colonnade was offered and we decided to go for it, despite not loving heights. It feels a long way up, that's for sure, but affords great views of St Petersburg.

Stunning interior which is huge but which you have to pay to get into - it is more of a museum than a cathedral. You have to pay again if you want to climb up to get a view of the city from the 'Colonade'. Worth climbing the 262 steps as the view is wonderful and it is quite an... More

A "must see" attraction in this beautiful city. The Cathedral very close to the equestrian statue of Peter the Great, and is easy access from the Hermitage. The ticket office is to the rear of the building and as usual in St Petersburg, the entrance fee for tourists is higher than for locals. The interior is truly wonderful, beautifully lighted,... More
