This was one of our favorite stops on our whirlwind tour of St. Petersburg. We visited the outside gardens and fountains. The gardens is a huge, park like setting. We were fortunate to visit on a clear blue day. You can walk through the gardens to the water and take a hydrofoil straight to the Hermitage/Winter Palace More

You cannot miss this if you go to St Petersburg. We took the hydrofoil from the river bank crossing the street from the Hermitage. You pay cash (so do have cash with you otherwise the cash point is 15 mins away from the pier) and it takes you 40 mins to arrive there. Upon arrival you will have to pay... More

We were fortunate to visit on the 1st day of the fountains for this year. The grounds of the Palace are beautiful and the fountains unlike any I have seen anywhere else. Fountains are trees, ducks, dragons ... everything imagineable. Beautiful, peaceful setting. More

We were in St Peter during four days of clear skies and sun and the experience of visiting the gardens is one of a kind. Be sure to arrive before 11:00 o clock to see the fountains with music More

The palace itself is beautiful and intimate. It is rather warm inside as the large group moved slowly. But the garden is magnificent. An excellent place to stroll to breath in the Baltic air and take photos with more than 100 fountains. More

You can easily spend a day in Petergoff. The place is magnificent especially when fountains are working. There are english tours leave from Nevsky daily offered by the Eccelectica Tours - very good price too (http://www.eclectica-guide.ru/rec/rec.php). The tours are done by minivan 8-10 people max. The quility is very good. More
