First off, I am quite good at reading maps and finding my way around a foreign city, however this place was absolutely the most difficult place to find and then find the actual entrance! Once I got through the door, I was lost at how to pay. But luckily a very kind woman who spoke English explained to me where... More

Yes the perfect few hours escape. However be prepared! We arrived early, the men's and women's are next to each other with separate entrances. Walked into and there was the menu list in English so no worries. We decided to go for the VIP room as we had had an arduous holiday and needed some pampering. You pay for you... More

For men only, but also for men a must-try: the real Russian sauna experience. You will get spanked with branches after the saune, to open the skin. After the sauna and the bath after, Sanduny offers a great meal. Try it with Russian friends!

ok i arrived at around 2:40pm and was told that the other two bathhouse options were closing at 4pm so i would be better with the VIP one (the most expensive). thankfully a man came down to meet to explain this to me at the cashier desk. He spoke good english and some of the waiters speak english (one was... More

My daughter, 11, and I decided to try out Sanduny. After quite a challenge finding it, we made our way to the women's side. Assured twice by locals that it's "the best," I was dissapointed. At entry we picked the fisr level and not VIP (this may be where we went wrong.) For 1500 rubles for me and 300 for... More

I agree with the previous comment, we can find cheaper baths with a lot more to do in Budapest, that's true! These baths are expensive but you don't get the same experience as in Budapest. The steam room with the big Russian woman pouring water in the hot rocks is already worth the trip, not to mention women whipped by... More

It's a great place to go with good friends. You get what you want there, many different bathsuites are available. If you have an injury in your body these baths will transform you in a fully healthy person

It was recommended as one of the top 10 things to do in Moscow, so I went in the morning of my last day (Sunday) there. Being alone and not a Russian speaker, it was at first intimidating, not knowing what to do, but what can be so hard about taking a bath? I just followed the Russian women, who... More

I was taken here by a very good Russian friend. This is essential to enjoy completely the whole experience. The combination of the 'bath', food and , most importantly of all, to watch the Russians relaxing is a real travel experience. If you do not speak Russian you will have a problem here. This is a place for Russians and not... More
