There is something special about the MSU grounds which attracts Muscovites & tourists to them. It's a really atmospheric place where you can go with friends, or partner or relatives. I love rollerblading around this area and especially in early summer when the air is full of smell of flourishing jasmine & linden. The same way it can be a... More

The State University is one of Stalin's Seven Sisters buildings and I love to see them in the Moscow skyline. If you are in Moscow for a good amount of time I would recommend taking the metro to either the Universitet stop or the Vorobyevy Gory stop. I think the Vorobyevy Gory stop would be less walking in order to... More

Ignore those saying that it's just a big building. This is the Oxford/Harvard of Russia and the grounds are very nice, as witnessed by the large number of locals that use them for recreation. They have a ski jump in the winter and roll people down the hill in inflatable balls during the summer. People let their children swim and... More

Generally local tourists visit there. But the atmosphere is great. You should visit the terrace in front of the university. The view is amazing. Dont skip to visit here during your Moscow visit.

The Stalinist architecture was very intriguing yet majestic! I always dreamed to attend MGU and study Russian and history and even music there. I truly embrace myself with all the Russian love from the uni. MGU the most renowned uni of Russia and possibly of Europe.

The building that is the subject of this review is just one of many buildings of the Moscow State University. Officially it is called - main building, aka GZ (its acronym in Russian). The central part is the study area. The wings host professors' apartments (!) and post-graduate student dormitories. If you get a chance visit one of the top... More

This building is magnificent, megalomaniac, yet creepy. The Lenin-woods surround this university, and there is a great view to the city's new business district with skyscrapers and the Luzhniky Olympic Stadium with a great ski jump tower.

This is tallest of "Seven Sisters" - seven skyscrapers build at Stalin time. You can see it from most of points in the city but it takes some time to come to this area from the city's center. If you have time, you must come here, not only to see how grandiose this symbol of Soviet Era is but to... More
