If you like architecture, you've got to see this one! Take a metro (university station) and prepare for a 15minute walk. It's one heck of a large building, so impressive to see for real! Walk back via the promenade and see the ski jumps (we saw them jumping) and look over Moscow city. Walk back via Gorky palk to the... More

I visited the University while attending a conference mostly in the newer buildings across Lomonosovskiy road. I enjoyed the overlook view of the city near the sparrow hills while grabbing a shewarma and a kvass for the stroll around these impressive buildings and wooded gardens. I did not expect to see the the buildings and gardens in such disrepair. There... More

As I am a professor I felt I had to go to this university. However, this was a rather boring and inconvenient trip. If you go, make sure you have a way to get back. There is not much to see other than the impressive buildings. Security will not let you in buildings to look around. That just leaves you... More

There is something special about the MSU grounds which attracts Muscovites & tourists to them. It's a really atmospheric place where you can go with friends, or partner or relatives. I love rollerblading around this area and especially in early summer when the air is full of smell of flourishing jasmine & linden. The same way it can be a... More

The State University is one of Stalin's Seven Sisters buildings and I love to see them in the Moscow skyline. If you are in Moscow for a good amount of time I would recommend taking the metro to either the Universitet stop or the Vorobyevy Gory stop. I think the Vorobyevy Gory stop would be less walking in order to... More

Ignore those saying that it's just a big building. This is the Oxford/Harvard of Russia and the grounds are very nice, as witnessed by the large number of locals that use them for recreation. They have a ski jump in the winter and roll people down the hill in inflatable balls during the summer. People let their children swim and... More

This is an incredible structure easily accessbile by public transit. Great view of the city from this viewpoint as well. We wanted to buy tshirts but could not find any in the winter.
