It's an interesting neighbourhood but there's nothing particularly relevant to visit around the structure itself. Worth visiting for a stroll, especially as the university building is magnificent.

Most of the buildings are publicly accessible and these Stalin skyscrapers are so impressive. The students give it all a very lively surrounding and you can feel the vibes of energy and progress.

I awoke early and and did an early morning stroll. I had no idea where I was in regards to landmarks. Like the previous cities in Russia, English is very foreign to most. So be prepared to study up beforehand. Also be prepared for the sun to rise at about 9:00-10:00am in fall and winter. It seems the population rises... More

Beautiful building. There are 7 like this in the city and are currently governmental facilities. It is particularly beautiful at night when it is fully lighted. A few meters away there is a big mirador from where the river and Moscow city can be appreciated.

Moscow University is located on the banks of Moscow river and is called as one of the seven sisters that was built during Joseph Stalins period. if you change the rooms everyday from kinder garden then to cover the entire building one will come out by completing his degree.

If you admire the Stallinist style, a walk through the grounds is truly rewarding. The building is magnificent, even if the grounds are somewhat neglected. The cafe at the ski jump is worth a visit.

Impressive in its stalinist grandeur, it is worth a drive past. You also get a great view of the city from the top

Having made arrangements with the university to be given a tour I then forgot my passport and could not get in - and I was staying on the other side of Moscow. However - this is just one thing that makes it unique - the level of understanding and the willingness to wait for me to get my passport and... More
