This review is written re the tour of the theatre, 9th April. My husband and I arrived at the theatre at 11.30am outside door 12 and were lined up along with 8 other people. A policeman and a member of staff opened one door and there was a rush with pushing from people appearing behind us. I managed to get... More

Brilliant ! What can I say? Do not waste time going to the Bolshoi restaurant......English is not understood, service is not understood, and quality food is NOT understood, but OVERPRICING is understood. I had Chicken Kiev, which could have been purchased at Costco (I doubt Costco would allow such poor quality).

Everything you thought awesome about Russian Ballet comes to glorious life inside this refurbished, beautiful theatre. Make arrangements as soon as you can. Spend the money for the best seats you can afford. You will find that every effort you make to obtain the best will be greatly rewarded!

We have attended "Magic Flute" performance on the New Stage of Bolshoi with my friends. Tickets were cheap, around £ 14 but the building and decor is not as magnificent as the main building of Bolshoi. We expected a classical fairy tale, but the play was in German with Russian subtitles and modernised. At the beginning we were not even... More

I saw Swan Lake at the Historic stage and it was fantastic. I had a ticket in the amphitheatre which was a perfect view. The Theatre is magnificent and the ballet was spectacular. Definitely dress up, you will feel out of place if you don't. Also eat beforehand as the food is very expensive and the champagne about $40AUD a... More

Very difficult to get the tickets !! Almost impossible . But the best part is there are some guys selling in black outside the theatre. I don't have any words for the Theatre. SHOULD BE IN YOUR - THINGS TO DO IN LIFE. Please be very well dressed.

A stunning building. I think it would be a great place to see an event, but like most places like Sydney Opera House or Covent Garden sell out in advance. So need to do research and book before you travel
