Clashing sharply with the old architectures of its neighbors in the Kremlin complex, this sterile-looking glass and concrete building - once a government edifice - now hosts ballets and rock artist performances.

Just everything so USSRish (past) and so very intriging. We were invited to a reception hosted by the Flight Safety Foundation. What a reception, what a night - drinks and food flowed. We were entertained by the top Operatic Singer of Russia and top dancers. I had a great night with new friends and old ones. Parts of the Kremlin... More

Great Kremlin Palace is a popular venue for concerts, ballets and other cultural happenings. You can get a deal on the tickets and pay very little for an interesting spectacle, but it's not one of the favourite theatres I go to. The reason is that it's simply too huge, queues everywhere and if you don't get the most expensive tickets,... More

A huge huge place with a large stage and seating capacity in excess of 4-5 thousand people. We saw the premier of a new ballet and the setting was magical. The live orchestra played extremely delightful music to complement the whole work put in by the artists. All for 18$ per person..!! Compared to the Bolshoi...its a steal. Here people... More

The theatre is well planned and the acoustics are great, if watching a live performance. I have seen many. I went to the ballet on Thursday and sadly the music was recorded, by my estimation on an old cassette tape that was played through speakers that had to have been there since Brezhnev was last speaking to the supreme soviet.... Definitely check out the performances at the State Kremlin Palace. We sat in the Dress Circle and enjoyed The Kremlin State Ballet Theatre performing Sleeping Beauty ballet for about $17.50 per person. The whole place is HUGE, HUGE, HUGE! The stage coverS twice as much depth and width as other stages. Their Kremlin State Orchestra played the score beautifully, and... More

This was just so cool - great venue and the place that Nikita and the gang ran the country until they moved the Duma. Everything is large, except for the bathrooms unfortunately.

The architecture of the palace is quite contrasting to all of the Kremlin ensemble due to its straight lines and sharp corners. The building itself is not a great monument, although it bears its history. It makes a good photo spot if you manage to allign your picture so both the squares and cheerful round cupolas of the Kremlin church... More

As befitting a hall built for Communist Party gatherings, the Great Kremlin Palace is completely lacking in warmth and intimacy. Whether the program is a concert or dance performance, the performance is simply overwhelmed by the size of the stage and auditorium. The security check lines to get into the Kremlin for a concert are always long and slow. And... More
