one of the best museums I have been today, the items on display were terrific and some of the finest exhibits I have every seen, wonderful carraiges, amazing weapons, the gold and silver work were also amazing and off course the Faberge eggs.

This museum and the Diamond Fund house a fabulous collection of Russian decorative art including Faberge Easter Eggs and the most amazing jewellery and state jewels in the Diamond Fund. Very annoyingly our tour guide seemed cross and puzzled that we wanted to visit the Diamond Fund, but I am glad we did because it was wonderful. Clearly few groups... More

Well worth the visit, much more than weapons to view. Pictures , clothes and a lot more to view. It will take you time to take in all on show.

The Armoury is inside the Kremlin grounds and is well worth a visit. Housing a fabulous collection of works of art, regal jewels, silverware, horse-drawn coaches. Depending on your interest in such collections, you could spend hours in here. We are no experts but 90 minutes was well spent. The place does get busy, so going early is advised.

The Armory is a museum not to be missed. You will most likely be completely frustrated by their ticket purchase process, as it seems that they, themselves, set rules and then do not follow them. The ticket area was under renovation/construction in August 2014, so it should get better. Unfortunately, we, like others, stood in line in massive heat for... More

Visiting in May allowed ease of entry and easy viewing of the collection. To view the amazing wealth of the Tzars and the opulent lifestyle they enjoyed was to look back in time. It was a real eye opener and a MUST do in Moscow

Some confusion with the ticket sales (they will only sell tickets in the 45 minutes before the designated entry time) given language difficulties. Amazing collection, audio set is a must. Loved the fabreige eggs.

This is definitely the most complete museum on a royal family I've ever seen! Because the regime fell so suddenly and everything was confiscated by the State (instead of remaining in the hands of the noble families), here you can find from china and silverware to carriages, from dresses to weapons, everything that pertained in the nobility's day to day... Very little queuing thanks to our guide. The museum offers some really exquisit pieces like the Faberge eggs and many more boring ones like the gift collections from foreign countries. Good place to spend an hour, but not much more. Negative point is the lack of a snack/drink vending machine.

Did this tour as part of a group with a knowledgeable guide. Worth it just to see the collections of silver, Fabrege eggs, beautiful gowns, dresses and jewellry. Would be good to visit again after a guided tour to see everything at a slower pace so you can take in all the details and glamour. A definite must see.
