We went to go rollerskating in Gorky park. The park itself is pretty and worth a visit. A nice place for a outside lunch if the weather allows. However, even if it said so online and on the signs that the rollerskate rental should be open when we went, it was closed, pending the summer season. Thus we did not... More

I was lucky to visit on a beautiful summer day and there was some type of festival in the park. The festival was on the waterfront area and had several bands. Didnt spend much time at the festival because the park is so georgous! Its a hike to get to from the subway system, but walking over the bridge was... More

Was a little bit disappointed in Gorky park although it had a grand entrance to rival Brandenburg Gate .I expected it to be so much bigger and I don't feel it can begin to rival any of the London parks HOWEVER the ice rink was brilliant !! My son and I spent three hours skating around the labyrinth of ice... More

A nightime visit to Gorky Park in winter is a must. It is a where the Muscovites go to play. We visited on a Wednesday evening in February (not during a holiday period, so far as I was aware) - and when we left the park at 10pm there were still hundreds of people on the ice. Even at our... More

Nice park, just a couple of stops on the Metro from the main city centre tourist attractions. We went in February 2014, when there was still plenty of snow, making for a very picturesque scene. Numerous stalls available for food and drinks, the location of the Radisson river cruise boats, and the largest ice skating rink i've ever seen.

A magical experience walking through the park in the snow with the sun shining and a wonderful blue sky. Attractions closed except for the skating rink.

The ice skating is superb! They have skate rental and locker rental. But the skate rental money is actually just a deposit and will be returned if you take your entry card and skate receipt back to the cashier. The prices go up in the evening and are a little more on the weekend. The park is supposed to be... More

If you like to ice skate, you want to visit this park in the winter so you can ice skate on the largest iceskating rink in Eastern Europe. Just beautiful to see in the winter with the snow falling. There are also cafés located in the park to escape from the cold and eat.

Though we visited in December so most things were closed it was still nice to walk in the snow and be surrounded by trees - a nice break from the city streets. Cafes were open - though we didn't go in any - and there were others around. I bet it's beautiful in the summer.

It has a breathtaking nature; forests, gardens, rivers and everything you expect, it's very huge and you can spend long hours there without getting bored. Moroever, it's easy to get there by Metro from Moscow city. Finally, I would say that it's a perfect place for couples or families, I don't advise to go there if you are alone :)
