The museum has a wonderful collection of the different artists of the 19-20 century. It has to be seen
I loved this gallery. It is not too big and the collection is housed on a number of floors. The scope and quality of the artworks are surprising and I was bowled over. Loved that little old ladies who acted as security guards - many of them were asleep or nearly asleep and with the exception of the woman on the... More
We took a punt on this on a recent trip to Moscow and it was a revelation. Housed in a former hotel and on 3 floors it just got better and better. Every impressionist seemed to be represented and usually by at least 5 works (the Degas ballet pictures superb)- the concentration of top notch work was almost to much... More
Truly breath - taking collection of impressionist and post- impressionist. I will only write: - Claude Monet - Edgar Degas - Auguste Renoir - Paul Cezane - van Gogh - Paul Gaugin - Pablo Picasso And this spot even doesn't have a photo in TripAdvisor?!
This museum contains some fascinating pieces of art from many of the great European painters of the 19th and early 20th centuries - Monet, Picasso, Degas, Van Gogh, Gaugin and many more. It is well laid out with the galleries spread over three compact floors. The audio guide is worth renting as there are no English descriptions of the paintings... More

It appears that Lenin wanted the impressionist and early modern works to be displayed, but Stalin disliked the works of this period, and had... More
This is one of the best galleries I've ever visited, and I've visited a lot of them. If you are, like myself, a fan of modern art, you're in for a treat. With a great collection of art, from Picasso to Kandinsky, this gallery doesn't leave anyone unsatisfied. It is situated right by Puskin Museum, so it should be easy... More
Exellent collection of modern european art. Picasso,Monet,Van Goch and so on. Really worth a visit. Notice that it is located in another building than the main museum.
