Beat the airport security, queues and crowds and use the Sapsan. Four hours of comfortable travel watching Russia whizz past. The chairs reclined, the announcements were clear and snacks were available. Trains were on time, clean and modern. I can totally recommend this service.

Fast, comfortable, and on time. The Sapsan is the pride of Russian railways and it shows. The only way to travel in Russia, tickets can be booked direct with RZD.ru is the best and cheapest way. The receipt you print out doubles as your e-ticket.

If i have chance will not miss to travel in Bullet Train... The trains connected Moscow with Saint Petersburg and later Nizhny Novgorod at a speed of up to 250 km/h (155 mph). They derived from the German ICE 3 train but with bodies widened by 330 mm (13 in) to 3,265 mm (10 ft 8.5 in) to suit Russia's... More

I travelled on the Saspan bullet train from Moscow to St Petersburg and back.Beats checking in at airport and going through customs. Its only nearly 4 hours to each city. they even served an airline like meal. The seats were comfortable, however you cannot lay them back. There is also a first class section. More upmarket. I enjoyed the Sapson... More

Its a very modern fast and smooth train and as it arrives right in the center of the city , i think the overall time is about the same as flying ! I quite like trains , you don't have the same problems with your ears , you can photograph the scenery as you travel and its easier to move... More

Best way to get between Moscow and St Petersburg. Both train stations are in the centre of the city so are better for getting around then flying. Super comfortable and enjoyable ride, on German built train. Would recommend highly. Only negative is that there is not much to see along the way. Easy to book, bought the tickets in person... More

We were booked on this train in March. It was punctual, clean and modern. Fast comfortable trip through some interesting countryside. Our travel agent in Sydney booked the tickets and we collected from our Moscow hotel. Packed and initially a little noisy in the carriage, but it settled down to a respectable level. Much better than the British Rail trips... More

Sapsan Bullet Train Moscow to St Petersburg was great. Superb train fast and only nearly 4 hours from Moscow to St Petersburg I booked online through Gateway Travel's website. Although I live in UK, I always use Gateway Travel based in Australia as they seem to have the best value. A friend once recommended them for good quality and their... More
