This place is considered by students to be the center of the town. You can find here many shops and places to eat. Also, you can go to the theatre or to the opera, which is a very pleasant experience. It looks very nice, especially in the spring. The pigeons are always around. Sometimes clowns, too.

I go to this Opera on a regular basis and I have to say that performances have improved greatly in the last ten years. Not to mention that the price is awesome compared to other European Operas. I just wish they would repair the front of the building which burned in WWII - so the facade you see is not... More

we have been here several times and each time it was a very good experience. They have Romanian subtitles on an overhead board for non-Romanian performances. The experiences we have had have been very good - worth going. The price is very reasonable and the sound is excellent. If you find a performance you want to go to, by all... More

Was very impressed at the Opera house, beautiful surroundings, this was a special Opera for Verdi and the tickets were an excellent price, much cheaper than in the UK. Then there was the girl in the red dress who stole the breath of every man in the audience (and some of the ladies)......

The meeting point of all (Romanians & foreigners) at the centre of Timisoara. Pedestrian area with a lot of cafeterias and restaurants, part of the archaeological root of the town

I must confess I've seen more beautiful city centers but Timisoara's center has something unique. Probably the pigeons, the building walls drilled by bullets from the communist revolution, the old views around make it special.

Located in the heart of Timisoara, exactly in front of a beautiful and well kept park. It features various shows specially during the summer months. Highly recommended.

Although I didn't see interior, the building is a pearl of the city. In its beauty it stands in Victory Square. On the left is Timisoara Hotel. In front of it beautiful park with amazing flowers, fauntain, restaurants and She-wolf statue which is the gift from Rome. Turn the back to Opera, right from the church is Central Park, Bega...
