This church is so beautiful with its domes and colors so different to other churches. It's nice to see the church both during the day and at night with the lights all around it. Don't miss going inside as it is very ornate

A good looking Cathedral... looks even better from the outside.. it is an old orthodox cathedral that stands at the end of the Piata victoria.. has really nice domes with colored bricks.

This cathedral was quite close to our hotel so we dropped in for a look whilst returning from the city square. It was dusk so the cathedral looked spectacular in the low light. Inside is also worth a look.

this cathedral is one of the most important architectural elements to strengthen Romanian identity of the square. Built in neo-moldavian style after 17 years of of belonging to the Romanian state, the cathedral is still impressive, but lonely in style.

The Cathedral is absolutely stunning and stands very proud at the end of Victory Plaza. I would strongly advise to go at night as it is beautiful and shines like a giant beacon, its red and yellow stripped brickwork are very unusual, but contrasts so well with the green roof. I was told that it was almost demolished during the... More

In my opinion this monument is representative of our town for two reasons: its religious features and the other one is that on its steps were killed 17 young people on December 1989 during the Revolution.

Timisoara Orthodox Cathedral is a place emblematic of the Romanian Revolution of Timisoara in December 1989, which led to the fall of communism in Romania.
