If you're in Cluj-Napoca, the Botanical Garden should be a must on your list of atractions to visit. It's situated downtown Cluj Napoca, accessible by foot, there are no public transport stations nearby(when I say nearby I mean 5 minutes walk). It's a very beautifull and relaxing way to spend time.

I remember when i was a child and my grandmother used to take me on long walks in the botanical garden from Cluj. Back then, it seemed like one of the most beautiful gardens i've ever seen. I went back this year, but it's charm is not the same anymore. Smaller, with many new buildings around it, it seems like... More

The Cluj-Napoca botanical garden was once the largest in Europe (14 hectares). It features nice rose gardens, a Japanese garden, roman garden, 3 greenhouses open for public and a few others that are not open (you can only watch the nice cacti through the window), etc. It's really nice to visit in the spring, when most of the flowers (roses,... I have tried to visit all the major cities in Romania and i can say that the Botanical Garden in Cluj Napoca is the most beautiful. But you have to visit it in spring-summer season to see its full beauty or else it may seem just like an ordinary park.

It's a great location for an afternoon stroll with a friend/lover/family. Green, quiet, cute and a very interesting place to take photos of nature but also as a background for a photoshoot. It's very well maintained and clean. The greenhouses are very interesting and since it is a research center also there are over 10,000 plants from throughout the world.

Famous in Romanian terms, kt is a short walk irrelevant in autumn. Only the foliage may compensate for the lack of whatever it might have been famous for. The museum might be an attraction for experts.

Nice, tidy, stuffed with exotic pants and trees from all over the World, the Botanical Garden is simply the best thing to visit in Cluj-Napoca. Well groomed alleys, Japanese Garden, green-houses, Belvue Tower and tiny pathways between the savage flora are all a delight for kids. Each season comes with new inflorescences so can be visited almost any time of... More

Large garden, very good maintained. You can see cultivated flowers but also wild growing patches. A good place for a relaxing walk, very quite.

I went there to feel good in nature apart from the noise of the town and I liked it very much.I am sorry I didn't have on me a book. :)

Even though "close" still involves some walking. Its worth it. Several areas are organized a bit in topics. The traveller can find besides beautiful variations of flowers also cactuses, several greenhouses show variations of palm trees and other plants..more in need of warm and humid environment. One of the bigger greenhouses shows a nice example of vertical gardening. The centre... More
