Reminds one of Italy

Similar in style to some of the great theatres/opera houses of Italy. Very ornate and pleasing to the eye. Well maintained and nice gardens to the front.

One of the best theatres in Romania! I absolutely love the building, and they also have really good plays:)

When I ordered tickets for "Caveleria Rusticana ",one month prior to the performance ,the best tickets I could find were at the first floor lodge. All the ground floor was fully booked. When we arrived for the performance we noticed that the whole ground floor was EMPTY. So I understand that the sale of the tickets is a matter of... More

The splendid building, not too big, but not too small, is, by far, one of the best attractions of Cluj. Besides the very nice location (especially the theater's interior), the shows featured here are as good as anywhere. Great artists have been on this stage and will be, I'm sure.

Visiting cluj-napoca and not visiting the National Theatre it is a pity. I have been to a couple of plays, long followed ones, and it was great.

The building is great, the plays are great. The culture is floting in the air. Everything is just right with the theater in Cluj Napoca. I can say i only spent lovely evenings there

Beautiful old-style theatre where you can see an opera for only €10-€15. Nice experience that in many other countries would be much more expenive.

The Cluj-Napoca National Theater made some good decisions over the years, like hiring Ada Milea, working with Silviu Purcarete, but most of their plays are so bad I actually have a hard time staying till the end. They try to entertain the audience by making cheap, often sexual, cringe-worthy, jokes and shouting instead of acting. They do too little of... More

The Romanian opera: situated in the city centre at the end of Bulevardul Eroilor the building is a pleasure to look at from the outside and from the inside. It was designed by the architects of the Vienna opera house and opened in 1919. We saw two shows : My Fair Lady and The Merry Widow. Both shows with a... More
